The Second Coming Of Tranquility

“The boogeyman of Outer Gods, protector of Earth, humanity’s last stand—Miratheris’s son has returned.” I was drowning in sloth. The color of life had drained from my eyes, leaving only shades of grey. Doing anything felt like punishment. Looking for a job? A laughable idea. I did everything I could to stay disconnected from reality. Gambling. Drinking. Even suicidal stunts. Anything to escape the numbness that clawed at my mind for even a second. But everything comes at a cost. I abandoned my family. Broke the heart of the only woman who ever loved me. And wasted every damn day like it didn’t matter. I became the kind of man society throws out with the trash. But life didn’t spare me. Not even when I hit rock bottom. Deceived, shackled, and sold into another world— I spent the rest of my days as a slave. Forced to fight monsters ripped straight out of myth. At the very end, all I could do… was wish. Just one more chance. One shot to make things right. … Born a prodigy, Ashen Hart moved through life like a golden boy. What others worked for, he mastered with ease. At first, it felt like a blessing. The validation, pride, and accomplishment felt sweet. But even honey spoils when you’re drowning in it. The more success he tasted, the more hollow it all became. And when a mysterious power awakened within him, letting him see moments into the future— The world lost all color. And then all meaning… Nothing could surprise him. Nothing could move him. He spiraled. Ashen threw it all away—ambition, love, purpose— and embraced the slow death of apathy. But fate wasn’t done with him. Kidnapped by a shadowy organization and forced into a hidden war, he learned the brutal truth: he wasn’t special. He was fodder. Cannon meat to delay the inevitable. But somewhere, buried beneath sloth and cynicism, the genius stirred. The apathy rotted away. And Ashen Hart, the failure, became Ashen Hart, the wretched. The unkillable. From a discarded pawn to the final hope of mankind. And when it was over—when even the gods had fallen— he was left alone. At his dying breath, the Earth’s spirit, Miratheris, answered his plea. She rewound time, giving him one last shot. But not without a price. She kept his memories intact… and delayed their return just enough so his younger self could bear the weight. Ashen’s second life begins now— and the monsters, both within and beyond, are about to learn what regret truly feels like.

GlaringError here! As I have already mentioned in my author review I am restating it here since I am getting tons of comments about it, that I am more of a reader myself than a writer, I made this novel in an attempt to capture my fantasy world residing in my mind into words.. Writing is new for me.. The premise of my novel is inspired by many great works that I have loved over the years. And some elements I have in my novel that are slightly similar to them but it's just the skeleton of it, the real meat of the plot is entirely my own cooking. Some of the influence that is more noticeable is from The Runesmith (By Kuropon), The King's Avatar (By Butterfly Blue) and Shadow Slave (By Guiltythree). I have immense respect for these legends and I can only hope to follow in their footsteps. To all those who comment just by judging the name, at least give it a chance before letting your opinions be known. Thank you.

Talent In A World With Heroes and Gates

2014. 5:00 Am. Under the still dark sky, a silhouette was jogging around the block in black sweatpants and a sweatshirt, despite the darkness hiding most of his features his almost vibrantly glowing gold eyes could be seen sharp and focused. “I love, I love, I love…” the man was quietly singing, his headphones laid over his hoodie, noise cancelling of course, a beloved feature. The man, keenly aware of the danger of ANC headphones was constantly surveying the road, wary of cars. Unaware of the massive incoming meteor that was plummeting at a speed so fast it was like a blur. *boom* Just like that, a man, crushed under the weight of at least 100,000 pounds was made into meat paste, sadly missing out on the evolution of Earth. [Planet Z267-B3, “Earth” has been inducted. Good Luck] From that moment on people started awakening left and right, [You have awakened S-ranked skill, god speed, you move at incredible speeds.] [You have awakened D rank skill, Tech Savvy, you are exceptionally good with technology] … However, unknown to the rest of the world, a man, well meatpaste, received a talent as well, one so broken it was unheard of. […Skill awakened: The Talented, you are the talented one, the pinnacle of all genius, what a one in ten quadrillion genius can achieve throughout a lifetime, you achieve in a blink.] “…” the once man, now meatpaste felt his bones, flesh, and blood slowly reconvene, the boulder, the cause of the evolution cracked and revealed him, Alexios Bornhunter, the talented one.

Demon Anomaly System

Blurb: He was once mindless trash. Vermin. An Imp. No name, no purpose. No future. He was supposed to die in the Maw like the rest. Mindless, crawling meat for something stronger to chew on. But something broke. A spark buried itself inside him... something ancient, older than Hell itself. Now he can see. He can think. He can Evolve. Hell doesn't know it yet, but the bottom just stood up. And he's hungry. Synopsis: The lowest demon in Hell. An imp without thought, spawned from filth, born for slaughter. Then he devoured a glitched system shard, something that shouldn’t exist in Hell. It gave him thought. It gave him power. It gave him the chance to evolve. Crawling through a realm of endless death and rot, he forced open a path to Earth. But in the year 2125, Earth isn’t what it once was. A hundred years ago, the Convergence shattered reality. Dimensions merged and the Dungeons fell. Civilization ended. Now, after a century of struggle, the Five Kings rule what's left, each carving out their own empires with overwhelming power. Like the Beast Taming King, who controls what was once Africa. His lands teem with monsters. Users flock to farm his dungeons, capturing beasts, gather rare materials...if they can survive, and don't forget to pay tribute. Or the Undead King, who holds what was once Europe and Russia in an iron grip. Endless legions of the dead serve him, his people loyal and fanatical. Behind an iron mask, he enforces absolute authority. A tyrant, loved by his people, living or dead. Everywhere, system users chase their own power. Shards grant anything from petty stats to world-shaking destinies. Everyone sees themselves as the hero, the protagonist of their own story. All of this is maintained and guided through the Network, a system-spanning infrastructure no human can escape. It ranks, registers, and controls. But not everywhere. Beyond the king's territories lie the Freelands, lawless zones they can’t or won’t hold. Here, gangs and corporations carve up ground while dimensional rifts swallow entire city blocks, wild dungeons drop without warning, and violence is the only law. He shouldn’t even exist in the Network. He’s not human. But his shard is corrupted...tainted. He slips through its firewalls, unregistered, unranked and free. Consuming the life and identity of Wohan Seo-jin, a system user and gang boss on the drowned coast of what was once Korea, he takes everything: his face, his memories, his men. Now he owns a foothold in the human world. And he plans to keep it. Survival isn’t enough. There is too much to want, too much to take for his own. System users, demons, dimensional races, even gods, he’ll push past every limit, evolve beyond every threat, and claim everything he desires...no matter the cost. #Litrpg #DarkFantasy #Grimdark #ProgressionFantasy #Post-apocalyptic

Guide To Train My Beast Husbands

“Let me lick it clean,” said Xie Daiyu as he looked at Ruan Chanchan’s wound. Hearing his suggestion, Ruan Chanchan paused and looked at the mer in shock. She pursed her lips and said to him, “You are kidding me. Aren’t you?” “Why do you think I am joking?” The mer asked with a tilt of his head. Ruan Chanchan gritted her teeth and said, “Because the wound is not somewhere you can just lick me.” “What's the matter?” Xie Daiyu asked with an innocent expression, even though his lips were about to curl in a smirk. “You are a beast woman, and I am a beast mer… this is nothing.” He pushed Ruan Chanchan down on the ground, his fingers skimming against her inner thigh. “It will be over in a matter of seconds.” Like hell it did! She ended up becoming the mother of his child. ** “This is not how you are supposed to do it.” With a frown, Rong Xian stared at her. The mer was usually silent, but today he was unusually chatty. Ruan Chanchan rolled her eyes while peering out of a boulder. She was staring at the sea while trying to look for the prince of the Basilosauruses. Her eyes kept flickering as she said to the mer behind her, “I need to talk with the prince, no matter what.” “Oh, and what do you want to talk to him about?” “Just about the salt trade.” “And what are you going to offer him in return?” the mer asked with a tilt of his head. Ruan Chanchan frowned at his question. She turned to look at him before saying, “What can I offer? At most, we can discuss some kind of cooperation.” Rong Xian licked his lips as he moved forward. He caught hold of the woman and turned her around as he pressed her against the boulder. “I don’t know about cooperation, but we can discuss copulation. What do you say, Miss Ruan? Do you want this prince to give you a litter of little basilosauruses?” ** “You need to put more strength into it,” said Liang Feng. His brows were furrowed as he looked at the weak woman who was trying to pull the fang out of her arm. Ruan Chanchan frowned and scowled at the mer. She said to him, “Do you think that it's so easy?! Why don’t you do it if you think that it's that easy?” The mer sighed and crouched down. He reached out and caught Ruan Chanchan’s arm in his hands and, without waiting for the woman to say anything else, he pulled the fang out of her arm. “AHHH—urk!” Ruan Chanchan’s scream came to a sudden halt when the mer fed her a piece of flame fruit, which was sweet and delicious. “Feeling alright?” Liang Feng asked with a tilt of his head. Ruan Chanchan nodded, and the mer smiled. “Good girl.” ** Kaboom! “You have to be kidding me!” That's how Ruan Chanchan felt after landing in a prehistoric world where not only did a gender other than men and women exist, but on top of that, these people could turn into beastmen! The second she arrived, Ruan Chanchan was almost squashed to death — but somehow she managed to escape. Don’t ask her how she did it; Ruan Chanchan still had some ptsd due to that incident. But if that was not bad enough, the world where she landed was also about to end. Great. Let the world know that Ruan Chanchan had offended some great immortal somewhere. Now, if she wanted to survive, then not only did she have to teach these beastmen how to farm, cook and clean themselves—You don’t want to get her started on how dirty these beastmen could be without knowing how to clean their hands and shower every day. And raw meat—yuck. Easy? Not! Not only did she transmigrate into the body of a fool, but she also ended up becoming the only beast woman who had no beast form. With a broken beast nucleus, Ruan Chanchan couldn’t find a single person who would willingly trust her. Fortunately, she had a supermarket system with her. Watch her use cotton balls and antiseptic ointments to stop the minor bleeding of the beastmen and use common antiparasitic medications to save a dying beast cub.

My Life Coaches are the Seven Deadly Sins

Chibi Pride: “Look him in the eye, keep your voice steady, and if you need a moment to gather your thoughts, don’t say umm, hold your breath.” Chibi Sloth: “Think… of all the time… we could save…” Chibi Gluttony: “Moderation doesn’t mean abstinences.” Chibi Lust: “Nothing is sexier than a man who brings exotic trophies back from his hunt.” Chibi Wrath: “It’s not even that big a deal, it’s one freaking box man.” Chibi Envy: “Come on Greed, if we don’t get it now, we’ll keep thinking about it, then next time a craving hits, we’ll just want more. Probably something more expensive, or more of it.” Chibi Greed: “It’s. Not. On. The. List.” Max watched the seven tiny forms of the great and powerful seven deadly sins argue… over a box of Lucky Charms. He steadied his shoulders and met the tiny Greed’s eyes blocking the box he’d reached for, “I’ve worked two double shifts this week, yes it’s outside of budget, and not on the list, but...” He took a moment as Chibi Pride nodded encouragingly. “Twice this week I left work so late I was too tired to make anything. Yes, it’s cheaper, yes, it’s healthier, but I need something I can grab on the go, or stuff my face in under ten minutes. I’ll ride my bike to work to cut back bus fares.” Greed glared at his companions, “We’re supposed to work together.” Pride grinned showing all his teeth, “We are.” The other five all grinned at Greed playfully. “I am getting a box of Lucky Charms Greed.” Max didn’t let his voice waver under Greed’s increasingly irate scowl. After a small hesitation, he reached for the box next to Greed, and put it in his cart. When Pride patted his ear he let out the breath he’d been holding as a wide smile spread over his face. Hell yeah! I finally did it! After three months, they, no he, managed to stand his ground. Ryan, the security guard, watched the young man… talk to a box of cereal. All the fucking crazies around here, he hated it when they started talking to themselves. Never knew when one would get violent… at least this kid was a regular… always talking to fruits, vegetables, sometimes the occasional discounted meat. He leaned his head to his walkie talkie, “It’s our fruit negotiator, apparently the cereal isn’t keen on going home with him today. Tell Karen she can relax.” Ruby listened to the chatter as she gave her best customer service smile to their very own special Karen. She’d refused to pay for her four hundred dollars’ worth of groceries until someone verified the crazy guy she’d spotted had been spoken to. Her two crotch goblins still screaming hysterically in the father’s cart… they had to be at least eight years old already… God how much longer was her shift? Ruby checked her phone… seven hours… and twenty-three more minutes… not including her lunch.

Something That Is Nothing

In a future where humanity stretches its reach to the stars, Vacem, a seasoned astronaut, embarks on a critical mission aboard the Lunar Explorer 7 (LE-7) alongside his crew: Michel, Luis, and Loterro. Their objective: to investigate a colossal megastructure discovered buried deep within the moon and the alarming reports of anomalous activity at its core. Data from the Planetary Defense Agency reveals that the moon's orbit has subtly, yet significantly, shifted, already causing bizarre environmental disruptions on Earth. Their mission, however, descends into cosmic horror. A sudden, inexplicable gravitational anomaly emanating from the moon's core rips the LE-7 apart, killing Vacem’s entire crew in a terrifying, chaotic explosion. Vacem is the sole survivor, but the impact leaves him unconscious. He awakens not to the familiar, cold vacuum of space, but to a reality far more terrifying than any nightmare. He finds himself in a grotesque, alien world where the very ground is a pulsating, putrid flesh, squelching beneath his feet. The sky above is a swirling vortex of sickening colors, from which emerge colossal, hole-ridden tentacles that writhe and undulate, dripping viscous fluids and assaulting his mind. Stripped of his equipment and alone, Vacem must navigate this living, breathing nightmare. He endures constant atmospheric eruptions of foul, red slime, crosses a river of thick, flowing blood spanned by bone-like, tooth-shaped rocks, and fights for survival against terrifying indigenous creatures, including the aggressive, three-meter tall Flesh Stalkers made entirely of rotting, viscous meat. As he pushes deeper into this impossible world, Vacem’s sanity frays. He begins to experience unsettling phenomena, culminating in a harrowing encounter with a formless entity of absolute blackness. This anomaly communicates not through words, but by bombarding his mind with a torrent of incomprehensible whispers and raw, unfiltered information, pushing him to the brink of madness. "Something That Is Nothing" is a descent into cosmic and psychological horror, exploring the ultimate insignificance of humanity against a backdrop of unimaginable, unspeakable alien realities. Vacem's desperate struggle for survival is not just against the physical dangers of this world, but against the insidious erosion of his own mind, as he grapples with the terrifying question: what is this place, and what does it want with him? The Fate Of The World Is In My Hands, But All I Want To Do Is Eat!

'Kill monsters, eat meat' 'I mean, Kill monsters, save lives. Got it.' 'Tut, I could've sworn that the first one sounded better.' She wasn't a girl looking for freedom or self-righteous liberation by a hero, or whatever shit a girl who suffered for almost all her life would crave. -the shit of a life she was living was horrible, but it was bearable, and so she got used to it. Rather, instead of freedom, what this little missy wanted was money. Lots and lots of them so she never has to worry about the next day. Money - bountiful enough that when she has to spend, she doesn't need to look back or calculate her assets to see how much she has left. Money - bountiful enough to get all the fried chicken she could ever dream of. Yeah, you heard it, fried chicken. For those who did not have money to spare leisurely, getting fried chicken was like a pipe dream to them and she had been one of those unfortunate souls. A comfortable roof above her head and no worries as to when she would get ordered around to steal. No worries about when she would get her next meal-- That was her liberation. And she got it. Just that, she got it most absurdly. Awakened! Those were the people ruling the world, alongside beastly and deadly monsters who threatened the safety of average human beings. And those awakened call the shots. Alice never dreamed she would one day be awakened, and compared to others with their game-like system displaying their attributes and strength; she had a full-grown man whom only she could hear, watching her back at every turn and telling her what to do. He was kinda a pain in the ass but she couldn't complain. It was this gift he had bestowed on her that made her the most powerful Awakened there was with stats that even S-class awakeneds couldn't compare to. She was the boss, now. Mwa-hahahahaha. But life didn't go as easy and leisurely as she planned. With great power comes great responsibility, right? Well, in her case with great power comes great hunger. She couldn't go a moment without getting hungry and her stomach had become a bottomless pit. And to get food, she needed money, and to get money, she had to hunt monsters. The monsters plagued humanity, causing catastrophes and taking lives mercilessly. Those monsters, as scary as they may be, were her target and she had to face them head-on. The bigger the monsters the more money she would gain. Yeah, that was the plan, but... This guy acting as her system seemed to have other plans, putting her at the forefront of 'justice' and having her clean the mess he somewhat created. 'Ugh, I can already sense a shadow of foreboding. Someone, please tell me I'm not acting the main character role. I just want to eat, okay?'

"The Prehistoric Survival Manual: Written by an Engineer"

The sky smelled different. When Li Xiu opened his eyes, the first thing he noticed was not the sky’s brightness or the canopy of unfamiliar leaves above him, but the scent—earthy, humid, sharp like crushed bark and smoke. Then came the pain. A dull ache pulsed behind his temples, like someone had struck him with a rock. He sat up groggily, wincing as dizziness made his vision swim. His hands were small. His arms—thin. His feet bare, caked with dried mud. He looked down at his body. It was… wrong. Too small. Too light. Like the limbs of a malnourished child. And then, the memories hit. Not his memories. Not all at once, but in fragments—mud huts and fire pits, cold streams and stone knives. A hunting spear too heavy to lift. A group of children laughing and shouting, calling him names in a tongue that he somehow understood. “Mu,” they called him. “Grass-Eater.” “Idiot.” “The one who spits meat.” Li Xiu clutched his head, panting. This wasn’t a dream. He had died. Or perhaps not quite died—but his body was gone. Left behind in some sterile lab, slumped over a desk cluttered with microgrid diagrams and empty coffee cups. And now, somehow, he had awoken in this world—no, in this body. The village was already awake. Smoke curled from cooking fires, and the scent of roasted meat drifted from the central pit. Women with painted faces stirred thick broth in stone pots. Men returned from the morning hunt dragging the carcass of something that looked like a cross between a deer and a boar, its tusks nearly as long as a man’s arm. A tall man—broad-shouldered, dark-eyed—spotted him and sneered. “Mu,” he barked, tossing something at his feet. A hunk of half-raw meat. “Eat, before the dogs do it for you.” Li Xiu stared at the meat, throat dry. It stank. He could see flies already gathering at the edges, and the fat was still twitching from leftover nerve reflexes. His stomach turned. He remembered, vaguely, that Mu—the original owner of this body—had always refused meat. Or more precisely, his body had refused it. Sensitive digestion. Vomiting. Nausea. The tribe believed it was weakness. Uselessness. A soul not worth calling back from the womb. But the original Mu hadn’t been able to explain it. Li Xiu could. He understood the importance of balance, of nutrition, of edible plants rich in minerals. He remembered how certain roots could be dried into powder, how leaves could be used to prevent infection. But in this world, none of that mattered. Meat was the food of warriors. Meat was the gift of the gods. Chewing leaves? That was for deer. Or worse, for idiots like him. Still, hunger gnawed at him. He turned from the meat and wandered toward the outer edge of the village, where the moss grew thick and the children rarely played. He crouched by a familiar patch of herbs—low-growing stalks with broad, silvery leaves. He recognized the scent: wild yarrow. Good for digestion. Slightly bitter. Edible. He plucked a handful and chewed thoughtfully, ignoring the whispers that followed him. “There goes the grass-boy again.” “Is he even human?” “He must be cursed.” Li Xiu didn’t reply. He sat on a flat stone beside the creek, watching the water ripple past, chewing slowly. His mind, though disoriented, remained sharp. This body might be young, small, and weak—but it had survived. For years. Alone in a tribe that mocked it. Somehow, Mu had lived with nothing but plants and scraps, instincts, and a strange sense of calm. And now, Li Xiu had inherited all that. He looked down at his stained hands, then at the huts in the distance, smoke curling against the morning sky. This wasn’t the life he had planned. But maybe… just maybe… It was a life he could rebuild. Not through hunting. Not through violence or brute strength. But through something far more enduring. Knowledge. And if all he had, for now, were weeds and roots and a brain full of engineering theory— Then so be it. The idiot boy who ate grass would
