Book-Bound
A nameless man finds himself in the void, surrounded by other souls lining up behind him.
He doesn’t know where he is or how he got there. All he knows is that he’s dead.
There, he meets Edix, the god of punishment, who judges souls based on the sins they committed in life.
It doesn’t take long for Edix to condemn him. Souls bound to a life of suffering, he claims, must have earned their fate.
But what if they hadn’t?
Like him—sentenced to an eternity as a slave in the mines of another world.
Unlike the others, who quietly accept their punishment out of fear of the gods, he refuses to bow.
He isn’t afraid to defy the gods, to fight against their cruelty, and to change this broken world.
He doesn’t just want freedom—he wants power.
In short, he wants to become a god.
