The idea of enhancement was abandoned, and for centuries, humans lived within the safety of the domes. Generations later, descendants of these failed experiments began showing enhanced health and physical traits, with some even born with powerful Cores same as the Raptor's creatures , giving them abilities. Orin, an 18-year-old boy, feels out of place, he has no core or heart, unlike most humans who have hearts or born with powerful cores. at the age of eight, Orin was abandoned by his biological parents and adopted by a man desperate to have a son. Though his father is caring, Orin struggles with feelings of inadequacy and dreams of becoming a monster hunter despite lacking the abilities required, he strives to become one of high level Hunters, and fight creatures outside.

Hunter of Spirits novel is about two main protagonists. For now, this part focuses on the first protagonist, Hero, and how he attains the title of the strongest hunter while rescuing his friends.
