The Artful Match

Brielle is one of the few female hunters at the association. Dealing with useless trainees every six months, she has a low tolerance for bullshit. She no longer believes in love, and nothing will change her mind after what happened to her. She believes that the only thing she can love and trust is her job, where she helps protect the defenceless by killing those who use their abilities to get everything they want. Hunting is a thrill that she enjoys more than life itself. Having a minimalist life, the only thing at home she cherishes is her painting. A vampire that refuses to choose a partner for his sister. Ketan will do anything to protect his loved ones, even kill those that threaten his livelihood. Usually, he is calm, gentle, and collected. He stays hidden away from everyone when he does not want anything to do with individuals until the day he is captured and locked away in a dungeon. After that moment, his life changed for good. Cursing the blood that he drinks, Ketan fights against the pull of drinking more blood from the person that donated the blood. An Excerpt from the book: Brielle throws her arms around Ketan’s neck. “I was so worried about you. I did not know what you were going to do or if you would survive.” Ketan smiled and accepted her hug. “I am sorry for worrying you. I had to do what needed to be done. Besides, I knew that this was going to happen and be as painful as it was.” Brielle starts sobbing in his embrace. “I think that you should take what you need from me, Ketan. You will not be able to stand the bloodlust soon… will you?” Pushing her away before losing control. Ketan moves away from her weakly. “Stay back. I am not in control of myself right now. You should not even be here right now. Leave me alone!” Ketan holds his hand out to stop her from coming closer to him. “I can hear your pulse racing; it’s deafening.” “You were fine a moment ago; now you are you pushing me away, Ketan? I can help you.” Brielle leans down towards him and gently pulls him into her arms. “No, stop. I can’t control myself, and I would never be able to forgive myself if something happened to you. I am not a sedated beast; I lust for every drop of your sweet blood that I hear pumping through your veins, but I must resist. Otherwise, I will harm you in the worst way possible.” Ketan pushes her back and teleports deeper into the cave. “Stay back before I begin to acquire a taste for your blood. It is a deadly thing to tempt fate once again.” Brielle continues to walk into the deep dark cave towards him. “Ketan, I trust you more than I have trusted others. I know that you will not kill me. Just look at how fearful you are right now.” She finally reaches him again. Crying, Ketan grabs her from behind, sits her in his lap. One arm wrapped around her waist, the other in her hair, pulling off the right exposing her neck. Slowly he lowers his lips to her neck, licking the surface testing the flesh. His fangs rest at the hollow of her neck before carefully breaking the skin. He starts to drink her blood deeply, but as he drank, he slowly stopped and lifted his face up, crying while holding Brielle against his body crying. Blood leaking from the bite marks while some drips down his chin. Her body was being held up by Ketan, and her eyes were now closed. Her body seemed lifeless in his arms. She started to slide forward as a deadweight. Ketan catches her and holds her princess style in his lap, rocking back and forth. Crying fresh tears.

LUCKY 21

Thank you for checking out this novel! I'm excited to share that it will soon have a manhwa webtoon adaptation. Please be sure to visit and support the webtoon by voting—your support means the world! Blood pooled across the floor, the sharp metallic scent mixing with the stifling air. Their teacher’s lifeless body lay crumpled, a gaping hole where his forehead had been. The entire class stood frozen, paralyzed by fear as the strange, unfeeling object hovered, its crimson sensor scanning the room like a predator sizing up its prey. Jin Dalle’s heart thundered in her chest, her trembling hands gripping the edge of her desk as her wide, terrified eyes darted toward the window. Above the school, it loomed—a machine neither bird nor beast, its cold, metallic surface glinting in the sunlight. Then, like a curtain of despair, an impenetrable barrier encased the campus, a shimmering dome stretching across the horizon. A cold, mechanical voice pierced the silence: "Commencing Operation REJUVENATION. Initiative 21—status: green. Attention: all humans in Zone 1 (Paradisus). Only two subjects will be permitted to exit the dome alive. Any attempt to escape will result in immediate incineration. T-minus 1,260 seconds to initiation." Panic erupted as the weight of the announcement settled. This was no test, no cruel joke. It was survival—an unspeakable game of life and death. Jin’s knees buckled under the pressure. She couldn’t kill. How could she? But survival demanded more than resolve; it demanded blood. Beside her stood Choi Minhee, her expression cold, her resolve sharper than a blade. Minhee didn’t flinch at the thought of taking a life—she would do whatever it took to survive, even if it meant staining her hands red. Together, they must navigate the abyss of betrayal, desperation, and despair. Trust is fragile, and hope is fleeting. As the dome becomes their battlefield, only two truths remain: death lurks in every shadow, and luck, that fickle mistress, could be their savior—or their undoing. Jin and Minhee must fight through hell, clinging to their wits, their instincts, and the faint, fragile thread of fortune. In a world where survival comes at the cost of humanity, who will be left standing when the dome finally falls?

"You're too tall, you're too short, you're too fat, you're too skinny, you're too dark, you're too pale, you're uneducated, you're deceitful and sly... All eliminated!" In a moment, the entrance was empty, and Yang Mengchen was instantly furious, "Prince, you've driven everyone away. How am I supposed to choose a husband now?" "I would like to see who dares to marry you. I wouldn't mind sending him to the Underworld as a groom!" Yang Mengchen... A certain Prince counted his merits on his fingers: "I have power, prestige, and substance, no concubines, no secret love affairs, no gallivanting— I embody the standards of a husband's three obediences and four virtues... Evil is Real

Not a sound, not even a whisper was heard from the Saint Claire household, it was though the devil came to steal, kill and destroy the last surviving members of the Eastern crusaders - the last line of defense against demons. It was a sad day for Zenemiah, the last son of Kish Saint Claire - a brave crusader who died in battle at the borders of their home land - Hailderguard. The members of the house hold gathered around the grave of their master, brother, friend husband and father, Zenemiah's mom and sister couldn't hold back their tears as the priest gave his final blessings to the dead man. " What will become of the household" - " the boy will be in charge"- the relatives of the Saint Claire's debated behind the crowd - "the boy is only 16, he doesn't even know what it means to be a crusader in Hailderguard", Kish's friend - Northington aforesaid. Zenemiah was just 16 yes, but he had already gotten some experience than the old chubby fools in the church - not because his family was rich, he had proven himself again and again in the church training camp that nothing is beyond limits as long as you set your mind towards achieving it. Hailderguard used to be a peaceful land - a place of the church, the Church of the Crusaders, until the devil came - from the depths of the earth, demons poured and their ways leading to the town's shores. To protect the citizens, the church formed a group of able-bodied men and women to slay the beasts, will the gifts of the Holy swords, the crusaders have kept the demons at bay - it was however unfortunate for Kish, who died in battle. The burial ceremony was over, Zenemiah's mom - Eve, called out the servants in the household and instructed to them to clear all of the dead master's belongings to the space room, just in that moment, Eve's daughter - Victoria interrupted when she was given further instructions to the eldest bulter of the household - Bartholomew. "Why are you doing this mother?".... "Father's burial was today and here you are trying to bury everything that reminds me of him, this is so cruel!".. Victoria cried out - "this is not up for discussion young lady,go to your room and lay your head" - Eve replied with such sorrowful bitterness... "If I may my mistress, the space will be come always for the children to still have a memory their late father" - Bartholomew pointed out.. "Very well, I'm sorry Victoria".. Eve said to her daughter, walking away with tears in her eyes. "Thank you Bartholomew" Victoria said. "It was no issue milady, but I fear the one person who's hurt more is your brother".. Bartholomew tried to sympathize with Victoria. Zenemiah hated everything at that moment - England, Hailderguard, the church, the Crusaders, demons ....even himself. ================================ It was 1845, one more year, he becomes a full pledged crusader but fear in his heart, the chances of him getting that driving confidence back is dim. Death is not evil not good - a law of nature, it can be evil sometimes and evil can be real
