The Terminal Author And His Relentless System

Zapp was an author, a dreamer — and a dying man. His final breath came not with fear, but with regret. He left behind his sister, his only family, and the unfinished novel he poured his soul into: a brutal, unforgiving world governed by an ironclad System. When his eyes opened again, he wasn’t in a hospital bed. He woke up inside his own creation — not as the omniscient author, but as the forgotten side character he never finished writing. Weak. Overlooked. Disposable. But this wasn’t a blessing. It wasn’t mercy. The System didn’t bring him back to save him — it brought him back to test him. Armed with a rare Hybrid class — Mage, Healer, Swordsman — Zapp must claw his way up from the bottom, mastering magic, swordsmanship, and recovery alike. The System offers no handouts, only quests and consequences. Strength isn’t enough. Survival demands efficiency, precision, and control. The academy is a battlefield in disguise — nobles reign supreme, bloodlines dictate power, and outsiders like him are meant to fall in line or vanish. But Zapp doesn’t play by their rules. Because he knows one truth no one else does: The System is not the enemy. It’s the ultimate weapon — and if he masters it, this world will belong to him. But survival is only the first step. His sister is somewhere out there, trapped in this world too. He will protect her. And if anyone stands in his way — noble, monster, or the world itself — he’ll tear through them with cold, relentless efficiency. He built this world. Now, he’s going to master it. ─────────────────────── Genre: Regression Isekai | LitRPG | Dark Fantasy | Magic Academy | Slow Burn Power Progression Themes: Survival Through Strategy | Control vs. Fate | Family Bonds | Tactical Combat | Noble Politics ───────────────────────

The god-like spider wants to be an author?

For eons, the multiverse has known an unnatural peace. Chaos, destruction, and the cycle of new beginnings have all but ceased—because the god who embodies them, Larry, has been erased. Well, not erased, but vanished. Tricked by the god Faceless, Larry had his name and identity stolen, forever forgotten by the other gods who once feared and knew him, which all but reduced him to an anomaly—an undefined being unrecognized by both mortals and gods. Larry has been forced into hiding at the edge of the multiverse, deep within the Great Darkness from which all the primordials emerged at the beginning of time, for if he is found, he will be erased, as he is no longer something that should exist. But survival is not enough. To reclaim his name and identity, Larry must earn the favor of the Goddess of Literature, the only deity with the influence to barter a debt with the Goddess of Faces, the one being capable of undoing Faceless's curse. The Goddess of Literature has grown tired of being cast and viewed as worthless, and because they both want something from each other, he figures that to stay alive, he must craft a story so powerful that it forces the gods and mortals alike to acknowledge him once more. Yet many deities fear the arrival of Larry, who threatens the balance within the multiverse that they had so carefully crafted after the God of Destruction and Chaos had all but vanished. As forgotten gods stir, eldritch horrors shift in the void, and the balance of existence teeters on the edge, Larry must decide two things. Is he simply trying to regain what was stolen from him, or is he just a selfish bastard who's trying to live? (This is a comedic story. So, consider this a little warning. By the way, there was also some initial confusion about Larry's gender, especially since I kept calling him 'it' or 'the spider.' So yeah, I'm very sorry for that, but I don't exactly have an editor to fix it.)
