Hollow Facade: Bloodline Ascension

In the year 1018 of the Heavenly Golden Dragon Calendar, the Riverscale Academy hums with life, where young aspirants of the Riverscale Clan seek to master the ancient art of Vein-Weaving—a spiritual connection between the physical body and the life-force known as World Qi. Among these individuals stands Xianlu Koichi, a prodigy with a lineage clouded by hardship and limitations, but fueled by an unyielding resolve to rewrite his destiny. Xianlu’s journey begins within the hallowed halls of Riverscale Academy, where his uncle Yuhen Koichi, a scholar of immense wisdom despite his frail body, imparts ancient tales of the Tea Koi—magical koi infused with the essence of different teas, revered for their power to protect harmony. These stories, filled with battles against the malevolent beasts, inspire Xianlu not just to study, but to transcend his own limitations. For while his veins may falter in conventional cultivation, his mind and understanding of Vein-Weaving offer him a unique path forward—a way to forge a legacy that resonates with the spirit of the legendary Tea Dragons. Through trial and sacrifice, Xianlu discovers his place among the students of Riverscale, earning respect through his keen intellect and compassion. Unlike others born with noble bloodlines, Xianlu relies on the purity of his heart and the unbreakable connection to World Qi. His vision goes beyond power—he seeks to help others who have been told they are unworthy, to carve a space for those deemed ‘less than’ in a society obsessed with lineage and strength. Yet, as Xianlu continues to grow, a deeper destiny stirs within him. It is in the crucible of hardship and failure that he awakens as something more—a master puppeteer of fate itself. Through the mastery of Virtue as his weapon, Xianlu perfects the Riverscale Clan according to his will, reshaping its future with wisdom and compassion. His threads of destiny are not bound by strength alone, but by the subtle manipulation of balance, weaving a new era where the marginalized rise, and harmony is restored through unity.

The Stonehearted Knight

'Why can't life be simple? I just wished to be the next baron of Grindeston. Now I have to face the world and Heavens above, only because of the damn stone acting like my heart?' Hex Darkenmane, scorned and despised by people and his fate, struggled in the dark chasms of the Endless Mountains to have one chance at becoming Blessed. Once he threaded the path of Knights, he would challenge the baron and gain everyone's respect. But things weren't as simple as he imagined. Only after gaining a Blessing and starting as a Squire did he learn the truth about the world and the Heaven governing over it. The baron's power knew no limits, Heaven wasn't as benevolent as preached, and his origin wasn't as simple as he believed. To make things worse, his master didn't seem interested in teaching. He landed in a battle between powerhouses and Heavens and was confronted with his origin. But like he never despaired in the deepest chasms of the mountains, he never considered giving up no matter how high the odds were stacked against him. "Give up? Why? Isn't it just the entire world and the Heaven around it, coming at me? Even if I stand alone, I won't be disheartened. Step by step, I will thread on my foes, going beyond Heaven itself. The road is long and lonely but don't pity me, for I don't pity myself. Toward others but especially towards myself, I am stonehearted." _____________________________________________________________________________________________ Finally, I have a discord. Join, please. https://discord.gg/EPGbDykXW3 A/N: WEIRDNESS I started to write after being tired of system, harem, and R18 novels that seemed copied from each other (I AM NOT DISSING ANYONE). I decided to write my own story, trying to blend traditional fantasy with web novels, adding weirdness as the main spice.

SSSS-Rank Null

“Hey, Null!” a voice called out. He didn’t look up. He knew who it was—Kael, one of the most obnoxious Gifted kids in the school. Kael sauntered over, a smirk on his face. “What’s the point of you even being here? You’re just taking up space.” Andy kept his eyes on his desk. “I’m here to learn, same as you.” Kael laughed. “Learn what? How to be useless?” He flicked his hand, and a small flame appeared in his palm. “See this? This is power. You’ll never have it.” Andy clenched his fists under the desk but said nothing. Arguing would only make it worse. The teacher walked in, and Kael backed off, but not before shoving Andy’s desk hard enough to knock his books to the floor. He sighed and bent down to pick them up. No one helped him. --- The class dragged on. The teacher droned about mana theory, something Andy found fascinating but couldn’t use. He took notes anyway, scribbling down every detail. Maybe, if he understood how mana worked, he could find a way to level the playing field. “Andy,” the teacher called out, snapping him out of his thoughts. “Can you explain the difference between mana infusion and mana manipulation?” He hesitated. He knew the answer, but he also knew what would happen if he got it right. The Gifted kids hated when he showed them up. “Mana infusion is the process of embedding mana into an object,” he said quietly. “Manipulation is controlling mana directly.” The teacher nodded. “Correct. Good job, Andy.” Kael snorted. “Big deal. He can memorize a textbook. Doesn’t mean he can actually *do* anything.” Andy ignored him, focusing on his notes. He didn’t need Kael’s approval. He didn’t need anyone’s. --- Lunch was worse. He sat alone at a corner table, eating the stale sandwich he’d packed that morning. He could hear the laughter from the other tables, where the Gifted kids sat, showing off their abilities. One girl was levitating her lunch tray, making it spin in the air. Another boy was creating tiny ice sculptures on the table. He ignored them, focusing on his food. But Kael wasn’t done with him. “Hey, Null!” He shouted, walking over with his friends. “You know what’s funny? You’re so weak, you can’t even defend yourself. What happens if a monster attacks? You’ll just die, right?” Andy didn’t look up. “I’ll figure something out.”
