The Reaper's Wicked Obsession

[Matured Content] Isadora Skaldwood was born a fae of impure blood “mannfae” deemed an inferior creation of the olden gods. However, at birth she was kissed by the goddess of light and blessed with the ability of a skin weaver, capable of healing any wound or affliction. Betrayed by her family, she's sold for gain and shipped across the world to a brothel, into the hands of a selfish businessman who exploited her abilities for years. Travelers come to this brothel not to lay with the rumored mannfae but to seek her abilities—the star price of the famous brothel in the countryside. But then everything changed when “He” appeared… Kraven Val Thrond “The Reaper” of the Raven Court, a terrifying warrior feared by those who dared to speak his name. Dangerously handsome with looks identical to a god, silver eyes like the crescent moon—but a mind dipped in madness. Isadora despised him, not just for stealing her away, but for thrusting her into his world of blood and chaos—taking her freedom just like everyone else does. He’s insane! But that’s only the cherry on top, his obsession is wicked. ~ (Excerpt) "You want to kill me and at the same time, you do not" Isadora’s features were stern and the cold look in her eyes almost forced a laugh out of him. She got more frustrated by his silence, choosing to insult him and be done with it. “Does a madman not know what to do with a mannfae?” “I can think of a thousand ways to kill you," Kraven replied in a velvety voice. "Like first throwing you off-board” Isadora's angry expression morphed into one of horror. “But that would be terrifying, wouldn’t it? Drowning in the dark sea, unable to breathe” he voiced as if he could vividly picture it—and him on board watching. "Tell me, Isadora" A cold chill crawled down her spine. "If I let you go, where would you run to, hm? I told you already this realm isn't kind to outcasts like us" "I'm not like you!" He chuckled lightly. "We're alike. What use could you be to this forsaken realm?" "What use could you have of me?" she asked shakily. “Oh love, I can think of many things but I’m not sure you’re ready… yet” ~ Cover is mine!

The Innocence in Your Eyes

"Why can't you hate me? I am a witch, after all. The last of my kind. Kill me, and the very creature you despise to the core will be extinct. So..." Ava balled her fist and struck Felix’s chest, her tears tracing silent paths down her face. "Hate me, General. Hate me! Why won’t you just hate me?" He grasped her wrist, halting her soft attacks. "Has anyone ever told you that your eyes resemble the second-brightest star when they glisten with your tears?" he asked. "What?" Ava frowned at the sudden shift in topic. "But..." He pulled her closer. "Do you know when they resemble the brightest one?" Ava’s lips parted, but no sound escaped them. Felix gently brushed a strand of her hair and tucked it behind her ear. "When you look at me with that innocence in your eyes." He paused, their gazes locking, eyes drowning into each other’s. "You want me to hate you? Then teach me. Teach me how to hate someone whose eyes hold the innocence of holy water." --- Ava Sideris, the last of her kind, is forced to flee when the royal princess, driven by unrequited love for General Felix Hellstern, threatens to expose her secret to the nation. A captivating tale of a journey in this new world, a quest for answers, and a fresh start in an altered existence. -------------------------[INFO]------------------------- (This story is and will not be perfect. I decided to write this story since it has been on my mind for years now. I've always been daydreaming about certain stories, characters and such for a long time, and now I finally decided to try writing for the first time. I wish I could've drawn this story, but I'm bad at drawing so that won't happen anytime soon. I would also like to mention that English is not my first language so expect some errors here and there. HOWEVER I am trying my best to fix it [rewriting certain sections, grammar, typos and such]. I also appreciate criticism, tips and/or tricks on how I could improve this story/writing. Also most parts in this story might seem confusing, but that is intentional. That's just how this story goes. Everything that might seem confusing now will get an explanation later on. There might have some parts where I have a massive skill issue, but most are intentional. One last thing I would like to mention is that, I'm not 100% sure about the tags. I added what seemed to be reasonable, but that could also change in the future.)

Eye of the Needle: Into the Reikai

Faith, fear, and fury. The strongest, most inalienable things that make us human. While the people of the world learn and grow, they shed feeling and emotion as time passes. Much like how matter cannot truly be destroyed, the energies of these sentiments never dissipates. Instead, it feeds beings born of all types of things, from ancient cultural followings to widespread societal discourse. In turn, these beings give back to the world--for better or worse. After the traumatic incident of his father's death, young DeMain is thrust into a world of turmoil and a hidden people right under the world's nose. As he harnesses a rare and unique ability gifted to him in exchange for his suffering, his view of the world unravels as he converges with others given the gift of Witchblood, an ability to see and interact with spirits. This book will take on its narrative based on the first-person views of three separate protagonists. I will remind those reading that 'protagonist' does not equate to 'hero' in all cases. A forewarning: This story includes many heavy themes and I felt the need to write them with the reality of how they happen. As such, be cautious. This book contains mentions of sexual assault, murder, violence, substance abuse, and overall conflict. There are also quite a varied amount of scenes with some 'gross' aspects to them. Though I imagine this would only affect those with vivid imaginations, you deserve to be warned regardless. Updates will done be once weekly if not more. (Things are subject to edits and changes!)
