The Server's Chronicle: A Fantasy Of Faith

Senior Server Felix stood at the front of the church, his voice steady and solemn as he greeted the congregation. “Our help is in the name of the Lord,” he intoned. “Who made Heaven and Earth,” the people responded in unison, their voices matching his reverent tone. “Today, we initiate new members into this divine and holy Order,” Felix continued. “Today, we welcome new brethren into the bosom of our Lord Jesus Christ.” At the back of the church, Louis sat on one of the few single chairs, his posture slightly slouched as his focus remained on a sheet of music in his hands. The title read, "Brightest and Best – Key of A-flat." 'Why didn’t Gramps give me an F or G? A-flat is so difficult, and I only have three days to finish it,' he grumbled silently, his brow furrowing in frustration. But he dared not voice his complaints. He could already imagine his grandfather assigning him even more difficult pieces—F-sharps and endless A-flats—as punishment. From the front of the church, a serene voice called out, “Harry! Step forward!” Louis glanced up, momentarily pulled from his inner musings. His eyes landed on a girl stepping forward from the pews. She had black hair neatly styled in a bun and striking green eyes that seemed to shine with warmth and composure. Dressed in a modest brown dress and black sandals, with a rosary resting gracefully around her neck, she exuded a calm, dignified presence. Her tanned skin and graceful demeanor only added to the aura of reverence surrounding her, befitting an Altar server. 'Sigh,' Louis thought as he brushed a hand through his white hair, his blue eyes softening with a mix of admiration and envy. 'I wonder what it’s like to be an Altar server. They all seem so pure and divine… and powerful.' Just as he returned his attention to his music, a calm, gentlemanly voice spoke beside him. “You could also be an Altar server, if you’re interested.” “Huh?” Louis blurted out, snapping his head to the side. But no one was there. “What in the name of Jesus is going on here?” he muttered, glancing nervously around. “At least you know my name,” the voice replied again, seemingly amused. “What?” Louis whispered, his heart beginning to race. "I'm certain you will be a good server," the voice said, calm yet enigmatic. Louis narrowed his eyes, still searching for its source. "Who are you?" "I have many personalities. I have many names," the voice replied with an air of mystery. "It’s your choice which one you accept." "You’re not making any sense," Louis muttered, growing more unsettled. "Blessed are those who have not seen but believed…" Before Louis could respond, his vision blurred, and the world around him seemed to melt away. He jolted awake, gasping for air. His hands clutched the crumpled sheet of music, its corners bent from his restless grip. His head teetered precariously over the edge of his bed, a faint ache in his neck reminding him of the awkward position he’d been in. "Holy Mother of Jesus!" he exclaimed as he lost his balance, tumbling off the bed in a heap of blankets and scattered papers.

Descent to The World of Chaos

Mary, before being known as the Child of Slaughter, was once a weak and sickly orphan from a blue star called Earth. On that humble planet, she was unremarkable—a faceless figure among the countless souls resigned to their quiet and lonely demise. Her life was ordinary, fleeting, and insignificant. But fate had other plans Without warning, Mary was torn from her peaceful world and was thrust into the World of Chaos, a realm of unrelenting chaos and destruction Stripped of the mundane comforts of her former life, she struggled to adapt, clinging to survival with her frail body. Yet no amount of resolve could shield her from the harshness of this new reality Eventually the cruelty of her circumstances broke her, shattering her innocence and forging her into a cold, unyielding machine of war—a tool for survival in a world that demanded blood and sacrifice But even in the abyss, there remained a faint glimmer of hope As Mary encountered Ethan Bright, the Archduke of Dreams. He was the embodiment of perfection—a being feared by the gods and revered by mortals. As the Promised Fifth Celestial, he was destined to bring an end to this madness and become a beacon of hope in a cursed world His very existence gave hope, but hope was never enough. The burning star was eventually extinguished as calamity struck. The world they cherished was reduced to ash, and all they had fought to preserve crumbled Facing the End of Existance, Ethan Bright fell. The Perfect Being, the loving husband, the devoted father–he was no more. What remained was a hollow shell, consumed by guilt and despair. No longer the Archduke of Dreams, he became known as the Sin of Avaritia, a being consumed by insatiable longing and regret In his descent, Ethan embarked on a relentless crusade, hunting monsters and demons with unmatched ferocity. His wrath spared none as he left a trail of ruin in his wake, consumed by his vendetta against the Celestials Allies and friends who sought to save or stop him fell one by one, unable to endure the merciless path he had chosen Through it all, only one remained—Mary. She was the last tether to his shattered humanity, the one constant in his spiral of destruction. She was all he had left to protect, the only reminder of the man he used to be Confronted by the weight of his sins and the irreversible consequences of his actions, Ethan became known as The One Who Wished, a being who chased the impossible—atonement for an irredeemable past. Consumed by regret, he desperately sought a way to undo the damage he had wrought. Every effort proved fruitless, yet he pressed on, clinging to the faintest sliver of hope So at the face of an inevitable end, Ethan made his most desperate and selfish choice. He cursed Mary with a twisted form of immortality, one born of his own shattered dreams and unyielding desire to see her live on. It was a cruel gift, an unbreakable chain tying her to a future that he has failed to protect Though he expected her hatred and though he deserved her scorn, Ethan still dared to hope. Somewhere in the depths of his heart, he wished for her understanding, for her forgiveness. It was a foolish dream, but it was all he had left And so, Mary endured. Iteration after iteration, their destinies unfolded anew. With each cycle, they changed—growing, learning, diverging from the paths once thought inevitable. This time, they would rise to confront the sins of their past, the burdens of their present, and the sinners of countless timelines This time, Mary and Ethan would defy their predetermined fate. As they would face their irredeemable past and carve a new future from the wreckage of despair Though the question remained: Can they finally escape the chains of their shared torment and bring an end to the suffering that had consumed them for so long? Only time would tell ********************* Hello this is my first novel so there will be a lot mistakes but i hope that you will accompany me through this journey

Aetheris online: SSS rank talent faith weaver

Description: In the world of Fateweaver Online, a revolutionary VRMMO game, every player receives a random talent that shapes their journey. For Reiji, an ordinary player, his talent turns out to be something extraordinary—the rare and mysterious "Fateweaver." This power allows him to manipulate the very fabric of the game world, not by leveling up or increasing his own strength, but by empowering monsters, entities, and objects with Fate Points. At first, Reiji struggles to understand the full scope of his ability. He has no direct power to increase his own stats, and his level doesn’t matter. Instead, he can shape the world around him, creating alliances, evolving monsters, and influencing the course of events by infusing them with Fate Points. But with great power comes even greater responsibility—and every action Reiji takes sends ripples through the game, affecting factions, NPCs, and even other players. As Reiji navigates his new path, he encounters powerful entities bound by ancient contracts. Aeris, a dragon and the leader of her race, becomes his first companion, bound to him by the Fateweaver contract. She offers guidance, not through direct action, but by helping Reiji understand the consequences of his choices. Soon, another powerful NPC, bound to the Phoenix race, joins him, and the tension between the Dragon and Phoenix factions becomes palpable. Though both are forced to remain passive at the start, their disdain for each other adds a volatile layer to Reiji’s journey. In this world where powerful NPCs and factions vie for dominance, Reiji’s choices will determine the future. But every decision is costly, and with each action, he risks invoking the wrath of forces far beyond his control. As his powers grow, so too do the consequences of his involvement in the world—shaping alliances, sparking wars, and even altering the game’s balance. Will Reiji become the hero, or will he be swallowed by the very fate he seeks to control? Fateweaver Online is a tale of power, consequence, and the unknown, where every choice matters, and the future is as unpredictable as the forces that drive it.

To Sleep In The Sea Of Time

This is a story of a guy who loses everything, and then gets it back. Same old new world story, just a different kind of story teller. *** They took away our hunter tags. They had us grow our hair. They gave us a new brand, when we were over there. They staged us out of Dragur, East of the Olim Horn. I guess they call us Slaves, but no one calls us much anymore. There is no fun in killing. I don't want to do it anymore. Karn brought Sorrow. Pookie brought Fear. Milk brought the fly boys. They did work in Undia. I worked mostly clandestine. Some Legends I should not say. We played with better wands. I could use the extra pay. Did Mara give the order? Did venom pay the way? They said we were slaying demons, but it was kind of hard to tell. There is no fun in killing. I don't want to do it anymore. This was before HALO, and Codex was king. Hej atop the rider, he never felt a thing. When our rider caught a spell, and both the mages killed. It pitched us over sideways on some cold Sylph hill. My back felt like it was broken, my legs I could not feel. I kept on slaying demons, but it was kind of hard to tell. There is no fun in killing. I don't want to do it anymore. I never did heal up right from injuries sustained Officially in Torin, unofficially we train. I remember all their faces. They dream about me still. I guess I'm slaying demons, but it's kind of hard to tell. There no fun in killing. I don't want to do it anymore. I speak the cold logistic, that old boys speak so well. Veni, Vedi, Vici. I'll see you in Hel. Maybe it's bravado, or an unspeakable guilt. That village, they were demons, but it was kind of hard to tell. There is no fun in killing. I don't wanna to do it anymore. I've done plenty. What is one more? -Corb Lund *** Come guess me this riddle. What beats shire leaves and fiddle? What is hotter than pleasures touch, and whiter than cream? What best wets his whistle? What is clearer than crystal? What is sweeter than honey and stronger than steam? What will make the lame walk? What will make the dumb talk? What is the elixir of life and philosopher's stone? And what helped Pookie-Baba dig up a tunnel, that runs from Shalamanda to West-Torin? When you are digging a crater, It is the best thing in nature, for sinking your sorrows and raising your joys. Sometimes I wonder, if lightning and thunder, is made out of the plunder, of the reddest hiski and oils. *** If you can keep your head when all about you, are losing theirs and blaming it on you. If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, but make allowance for their doubting too. If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, or being lied about, don’t deal in lies, or being hated, don’t give way to hating, And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise. If you can dream, and not make dreams your master. If you can think, and not make thoughts your aim. If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster, and treat those two impostors just the same. If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken, twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, or watch the things you gave your life to, broken, and stoop and build them up with worn-out tools. If you can make one heap of all your winnings, and risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss and lose, and start again at your beginnings, and never breathe a word about your loss. If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew, to serve your turn long after they are gone, and so hold on when there is nothing in you; Except the Will which says to them ‘Hold on!’ If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, nor walk with Kings, nor lose the common touch. If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you. If all men count with you, but none too much. If you can fill the unforgiving minute, with sixty seconds worth of distance, run. Yours is the World and everything that’s in it, and which is more you’ll be a Man, my son. - Rudyard Kipling

Euphoric Faith

In the world of Euphoria, sword, magic and faith had dominated lives for centuries, ever since the catastrophic period commonly referred as The Joining nearly destroyed the world. Those born with magical abilities, strive to become a Magus and are highly sought after. Those talented in warfare, became Sword Masters and are the backbone of many kingdoms. Those touched by diety had elevated their own position immediately, since miracles and spells utilising faith are always in short supply. Every since The Joining, many monsters have crossed the boundaries of Euphoria. Whole knightly orders and wizard towers dedicated their lives in an attempt to eradicate monstrosities roaming this world. The question that many asked themselves was: What would happen if there was a group capable of using magic, even if at basic level, skilled in combat and had a patronage of a god? Many objected, seeing a future where their own position of power would be threatened and refused this offer. Although there were few pure and honest mages and knights. They gathered in secrecy, hiring trusted alchemists in an attempt to transmute a body, to create a blueprint perfect for their purpose. They prayed to various gods, old and new arrivals but there was only one Goddess that responded. Alchemists we're often dubbed by commoners and those of faith as witches. So they took it upon themselves to name their new creation, using the very same foul moniker to spite those that wronged them... (Warning this is an 18+ novel. There are heavy, adult themes in it. Enter at your own discretion).
