Jayden, a teenager from America, moves to Mombasa to live with his grandmother and learn about the culture where he was born. Adjusting to life in a new environment, Jayden struggles with routines and expectations. His first day of school sets the stage for a dramatic encounter. After staying up all night playing video games, he wakes up late and rushes to class. On his way, he stumbles upon Ali, a fellow student, being beaten by a group of bullies.
