[Novel images are AI generated] ******************** [Excerpt from Novel] The Goddess remembered that day clearly. As she floated in the sky near the cold doors of death, she shivered. She had lost too much blood. The pain was overtaking her senses. She knew she was dying. She hugged the rabbit in her arms even tighter, not wanting to drop her loyal friend. How the Goddess had wished she could see her loved one, just one last time, she thought sadly. The cold began to invade every part of her body, spreading itself like sharp frost through her bones. She had not thought that she would die feeling so lonely and scared. She choked back a sob. She wasn't sure if her eyes were becoming hazy and blurry from her tears or from her consciousness slipping away... "You're safe now... I will never let anything bad happen to you..." "Thank you..." she whispered gratefully. When the Goddess finally awakened, she was home within her palace in the Realm of Gods. She sat up slowly in her bed assessing her surroundings. Sunlight shone through the grand windows onto freshly cut flowers on the bedside table. She could hear the song birds serenading the world outside. The air smelled like a mix of vanilla and honey. Nothing was out of place here. She was wearing a light nightgown. She lifted the hem of it so she could take a look at her body. Her light skin was smooth and glowing. There were no injuries at all. For a moment, she wondered if her time on Earth as Queen Chang’er was nothing but a dream. She took a deep breath when she felt something moving under the blanket. Curious, she lifted back the covers and gazed into the face of the little rabbit who had been her companion through it all. The Goddess’s eyes became wet with tears as she lifted the rabbit up onto her lap. She couldn’t believe that the little bunny survived the journey to the Realm of Gods. “Was it you who saved me…?” The rabbit rubbed its furry face against her hands, wiggling her little cotton tail, happy that her master had finally awakened from her long slumber. “You silly one…” The Goddess touched her finger against the rabbit’s nose, which caused it to twitch slightly. “For your kindness,” she said gently, “I will repay you, my little Tuzi.” The Goddess worked her magic and changed Tuzi’s form into a human. Forever her companion and friend. The legend of Chang’er goes, that she became the Moon Goddess in the heavens, accompanied by her loyal white rabbit. Sometimes, if one stares long enough at the Moon, they can see the rabbit shift into a human.

Celestial and The Alpha

"Can you shift?" His voice was notably softer. I was grateful for it. As best as I could, I shook my head. The lingering dizziness rang through my head again. With another step forward, I let out my millionth whimper of the day. Goddess, I was like a boring yet concerning recording. From my personal experience, anytime someone with more power than you steps towards you, you should run. You should run far, far away as fast as you can. Chances were, they're going to hurt you. They're going to beat the shit out of you and that's honestly the best you should hope for. He stopped his movements, seeming to give me the time I so desperately need. He sighs. I'm probably annoying him. There was less than five feet between us now. He took another cautious step. I bit my cheek as best I could. "It's okay, little one." He took the final step towards me before crouching down. Even crouched down, I still felt so tiny in his presence; especially while I was in my wolf form. He reached his hand out towards me agonizingly slowly. I begged my fears to go away, putting my head down. Maybe if I can't see him, I won't be too scared. I could feel his hand hovering over me, a static-like feeling I'd never felt before letting me know. Finally, his hand touched my back. The static exploded into tingles. I jumped a little at first, the unknown worrying me. But. . . It feels so good. I'd never experienced this before but I never want it to stop. I relax under his touch. He picked up my small form and held me close, the tingles expanding. There was pain as he picked me up but the tingles were distracting me a good amount. "What's happened to you, little one?"

The Duty and The Destiny

"To the man I thought I could have, but I couldn't." ********** Karim was the man I met in Wisteria City, in a foreign Wisterian country. I thought he was just a normal person, but he turned out to be an army officer from an enemy country. Who would have known that this man was destined to be the future Prime Minister of his nation? Our worlds collided in a twist of fate, filled with passion, conflict, and the ultimate test of loyalty and love. We stood on the balcony, the city lights twinkling below us. I turned to Karim, my voice trembling. "So we're over?" He sighed, his eyes filled with pain. "No, you and I will never be over." "How can I trust you now?" I whispered, feeling the weight of the future. Karim stepped closer, his hand reaching out to touch mine. "Because my feelings for you are real. Despite the borders and politics, what we have is genuine." I pulled away, tears streaming down my face. "It's not that simple, Karim. You're an officer from an enemy country. We both know this can't work." He looked at me with a mixture of grief and determination. "I'll fight for us, Kristen. As much as I care about the politics, I care about you more." A sad smile tugged at my lips. "You say that now, but what about when you're Prime Minister? Can you promise me we'll still matter then?" Karim took my hand, his grip firm yet gentle. "I promise, I'll do everything in my power to make it work. You're worth it." Despite the turmoil, a part of me wanted to believe him. "You're a smooth talker, you know that?" He chuckled softly, a glimmer of his old charm returning. "Only for you, Princess." We stood there, locked in a moment that was as beautiful as it was heartbreaking, knowing that the path ahead was fraught with uncertainty but unable to let go of the connection we had found. ********** Will Karim be able to balance his love for Kristen with his political ambitions? Can Kristen overcome the boundaries set by their countries and find a way to be with Karim? What will happen when their secret relationship is exposed to the public? How will they navigate the challenges posed by their conflicting loyalties? Will their love survive the ultimate test of duty and destiny?
