Hello, this is my first attempt at a novel and I have no clue if I’m going to continue writing this. I’m mostly doing this as a way to pass time before I start going to college so this will more than likely be dropped. I’ve never written a synopsis, so I’ll just recommend you read the prologue for this story. It’s only 800 words long and will set the theme/ tone for how I’m going to be writing. An ordinary librarian was bored and decided to read a book called The Book of Essences. It told of heroic adventures in 20 worlds. But all the pages were blank, and at the beginning of the book there were only annotations for each of the stories in a different world. He decides to put it aside, but the closed book enters the world of the book. His ego quickly takes over, but then he realises that he's not the hero, just his companion, who has to guide him and finish the story. After Vel's first attempt, the book begins to fill with text.
