You Need A D…

Hermes stood victorious against his planet's most formidable foe, attempting to deliver the final blow. But fate intervened as a portal materialized in front of him, pulling him to a distant planet. Upon arrival, Hermes discovered life existed on this planet, but it was plagued by half-human, half-monster colonization, eerily mirroring his own world's struggles. Hermes yearned to return home, but the harsh reality sank in – he was stranded on a distant planet, months away from his own. His thoughts were however interrupted by a distressing scene, as a woman, identical to his deceased fiancé, was being dragged by a half-human, half-monster creature. He thought he must have been mistaken, yet, his advanced system swiftly analyzed the woman's features, confirming an astonishing 99.9% match to his lost love. Stunned, Hermes sprang into action, rescuing the woman from her captor. But as he gazed into her eyes, hoping for a spark of recognition, he found none. Despite his assertions, she didn't remember him. Yet, she shared the same name as his deceased fiancé. Following the rescue, Hermes was ushered into the presence of the woman's father, who gratefully acknowledged his heroism. The old man offered Hermes a reward, asking what his heart desired. "I wish to marry the woman I saved," Hermes replied. The old man's expression turned thoughtful. Due to them being isolated away from the rest of the village, the old man's daughters had remained untouched by any suitors. And the man was already getting old, he was disheartened by the fact that none of his daughters were yet to marry. Hermes faced a singular decision: to marry all four daughters, sequentially, to ultimately claim his desired bride. Trapped in this isolated world, Hermes eventually agreed, since he needed to upgrade his weakened system powers, crucial for his eventual return. Dive into Novel; "You Need A D…" to explore Hermes' journey as he navigates unconventional marriage, strengthens his abilities and confronts the mysteries of this strange planet.

Kiss Of The Night

A College student's soul transmigrated into a renowned Princess of 400 BCE who had a very mysterious and tragic ending. To survive from her obvious doom, she decided to have a lowkey and peaceful life away from royal struggle but she ended up falling in love with the nemesis of that Era, the notorious, ‘Dark Prince’ who was going to be the destroyer and damnation of the whole continent of that century. But, she didn’t know- She was the main reason for his damnation- For her, a lonely Prince turned into a ferocious monster, burning down the numerous kingdoms into ashes. ------ [Extract from the Story] In the solitude of an eerie night, I met that stranger again. He was standing tall and straight like a towering spruce, his profile dark against the moonlight as his long and slender fingers were wrapped firmly around the hilt of his unsheathed sword. His deep voice growled furiously while pulling out the sharp and shining blade from the bandit’s heart, “Aren’t you daring enough to lay your dirty fingers on my woman?” Drops of blood tainted the velvety carpet of the grass and the body of the bandit fell on the ground, numb and lifeless. I was awestruck by the smooth strikes of his sword and it was impossible to steady my erratic pulse. Suddenly, his cold and burning gaze fell on me. Though I never met him before, he still felt the closest person; an inexplicable sense of deja vu washed over me, creating an absurd familiarity that messed up all logic. Approaching me, he cupped my chin tenderly in his warm hand as his thumb gently wiped a drop of blood from my cold cheek, making my body shiver alarmingly. My heart was hammering in my ears and his compelling eyes riveted me to the spot. However, noticing his deep wound, I mumbled in a breathy and concerned tone, “Your injury looks deadly. You need immediate treatment.” A deep chuckle greeted me as he pulled me closer to him, wrapping his strong arms around my waist, "Don't bother about that, My love. Did I make you wait for long?" 'My love!! Is he supposed to be my damn lover?' __________ ‘Death is not a worry of mine Even if I must swallow poison I must have you, …’ ~ Lucian Mavis.

Making fire

Life was tiring, I wanted so much to be free of everyone. I wanted to hold on to what little happiness I remembered walking through the woods. The feel of the crisp air when the sun broke into dawn, the way I felt the trees come alive as I wondered through them, how quiet everything was. But now I’m married. To the most unpredictable man I had ever encountered. But there is something about him. The way he moves, eyes sharp and narrowed watching my every step. I always felt as if he were hunting me, and maybe he was. I could never get away from those peering eyes long enough to enjoy a moment to myself. He was always there, around every plan of escape, every thought of silence, every time I even thought of a life away from him. No doubt due to the binding ceremony that was performed. The only request I had about the ceremony was that it needed to be performed by a priestess but my father wanted HIS personal witch to bind Tristan and I. Once my father ordered you to do something ‘not one person disagreed’. I did not mean to think so ill of her but I can not help this feeling that she may have added a little spell to the ceremony. If I could only speak to her, I have not seen her since I left my brute of a fathers home. I could always ask Sheri-Tristan’s second wife. Yes. I’m the third wife of this man I call husband. But Sheri was witch born before being turned by Tristan. She had the most beautiful violet hair and matching eyes. Where as I had bright auburn air with green eyes, the only thing I kept of my mother. Sheri could help me find out if I am under some spell so I can get Tristan out of my head long enough to leave his kingdom. She hated me so, I believe it is due to Tristan not informing both of his wives that a third was going to be arriving. And that was me. If I was going to ask her for help it had to be now, I have my awakening ceremony tonight. It will mark 3 months since our wedding and as accustomed with Tristan and his coven, 90 days was the mark a bride had to wait to be judged by the collective to be accepted. Tristan assures me that I will be accepted and he will turn me tonight in the hues of the blood moon that was to be eclipsed. I did not want to be turned. I was human. If I was turned I’d loose my humanity and become full vampire. The same thing happened to Ava-Tirstan’s fist wife. She could not handle the lust and killed a few members of court. Some human but some halflings like Sheri. I did not want to kill. I shuttered at the thought of taking the life essence of another living being. I did not want to live in this manner. I only pray that Sheri is in a favorable mood this afternoon. Here I stand, outside her door. I had been standing here for about 10 minutes. I needed every help I could to escape my marriage. Yet, knocking on her door was the most exhausting thing I have been doing since I arrived here 3 months ago. “Here goes nothing.” I said out loud as I finally knocked. “Entrer” She was quite demure when she’s not in a mood. I might have a chance of gaining her help after all. One look my way and her mood was already changing. “YOU!” —maybe not………….
