In a world dominated by dungeons, where the gates of hell continue to appear without end, humanity is on the brink of extinction. Horrifying monsters roam, and countless dungeon breaks bring disaster to every corner of the world.
In the midst of this era of chaos, Adam Stonhart is known as an SSS-rank adventurer—a living legend who has conquered dozens of dungeons, from level eight to the most dangerous, level one. On his long journey, he has faced unimaginable darkness, fighting against monsters that sit at the top of the food chain. Sometimes he fights alongside comrades who are his equal, but more often, he faces the terror alone. But despite his many accomplishments, there is always something empty in his life—a feeling of emptiness that he cannot understand.
Until finally, on an expedition to a level one dungeon with the world's strongest adventurers, Adam faces an enemy unlike any he has ever fought before. Shub-Niggurath, the "Mother of the Black Goat," stands before them, bringing despair with power beyond imagination. The battle is fierce, blood and magic flooding the arena. However, thanks to everyone’s persistence, Adam managed to land the final blow and end the demon’s existence.
Victory was celebrated, cheers echoing throughout the dungeon. However, just as Adam breathed a sigh of relief, the monster’s final blow pierced his body—a curse of inescapable death.
Darkness swallowed him.
However, when he opened his eyes once more, he was no longer Adam Stonhart, the strongest adventurer. The world around him had changed. Five hundred years had passed since his last battle. The era of chaos had become a legend, and Adam… was now reborn in another person’s body.
What had happened to the world he fought for? And more importantly—who was he now?
