The world fell to monsters.
For 60 years, dungeons appeared across the globe, bringing creatures that defied human understanding. At first, humanity was powerless—bullets could not pierce their skin, explosives could not burn their hide. But soon, certain individuals awakened supernatural abilities, their powers came with a mysterious status screen. These warriors, later called Hunters, fought back, pushing the monsters into the depths of dungeons.
But humanity’s greed was its downfall.
They allowed dungeons to persist, harvesting their resources instead of eliminating them. Then, one day, all uncleared dungeons erupted at once. The world burned. Billions perished. The last remnants of humanity fled, forming a final stronghold in America under an impenetrable barrier. Yet even that was not enough. The end came when an overwhelming entity—a self-proclaimed God—descended upon the ruined Earth.
Ray, a 67-year-old man, humanity’s third strongest Hunter, stood among the corpses of his fallen comrades. He had lost everything—his family, his friends, his home. Even Denial, the only SS-rank Hunter, could not stand against this new enemy. With his dying breath, Ray cursed his own weakness. If only he had been faster. If only he had been stronger.
And then, the Eye of [???] activated.
Now, Ray is back. A seven-year-old child in a world untouched by dungeons. Three months remain before the first dungeon appears. This time, he will not wait. He will not hesitate.
With his sword in hand and the power of the Dark Lands, he will carve a new path.
