His Veiled Mural

[Mature Content. No rape] After Rivienne, the daughter of the Grand Duke Carmillion of the Vassilios Empire, got into a deathly accident at such a young age, everyone thought that she was living in the countryside, getting better in her fragile health. Nevertheless, she became a gorgeous lady and the future monarch of the empire. Yet she wanted nothing but to close her eyes forever and get rid of her existence. Despite her name, her dreams, her hateful family, and her arrogant fiancé, Rivienne wore a mask of innocence, tangling with an assignment, only to protect the imperium from the enemies. But her fated love and the cursed prince who craved her misery and feasted upon it would never have the will to let go of her. Would she be able to break her chains and sore in the sky? Or would she be devil-bound and live as she hated the most? [EXCERPTS] She was burning. She felt her heart thundering. Her ragged breath could melt iron. She fell on her knees when the water was right before her. The fire within her screamed for her to spread their wings, yet she did not want to. The world was not worthy enough for her to destroy.  Sweating buckets, she gasped for the air, facing the ceiling lying on the floor. She wanted to rip off the sticky petticoat along with her skin. Under the dim light of candles, she thought, 'So this is how I die,' She scoffed, gulping. 'This was how Rivienne died without dying,' Perfect! "Oh! Dear," His mocking voice did not even let her finish her life. She eyed him with utter hatred as the angelic man, stained with blood, stopped biting his inner cheek and tossed away the bloody dagger, pushing himself up from the door he was leaning on, watching leisurely. And then he approached his dear painter. "Would you look at this?" He wiped the blood on his unreadable face with the back of his palm and sighed, looking at her. "Get lost!"  She was able to tell him the most important thing. Disappear from my life. Everything was confusing after this man. And he never listened. Still keeping his dull expression, he scooped her with one swift movement as she began to kick him, wiggling, wasting her last drop of energy. It was useless. He shoved her into the bathtub abruptly, imprisoning her beneath him in the icy water.  She kept rebelling against his force, pushing him away and cursing. When the opening occurred, she cupped his neck.  Kill him! Burn him! Her ears echoed.  "... You little!" He gritted his teeth, and his jaw twitched, enduring the monstrous pain she brought. Her lips curved up victoriously and stubbornly when he was defeated. Yet it did not last long. He dipped her in the water in a blink, taking the hand that almost killed him as he clashed his lips with hers, becoming the blizzard for her flaming hell.  *Vote and check out the images of some scenes in paragraph comments. **Cover is mine. Revenge of the Crimson Shadow

Eternal Cleansing Region, somewhere in the Aries Kingdom, midnight “Ohmmm~~~!” The sound of chanting was heard as pebbles jumped, buildings vibrated, and the ground shook. In a huge church, many figures in dark red robes were on their knees surrounding an altar, seemingly praying to a god. There were thousands upon thousands of figures, all chanting the same thing. The gargantuan church had very tall windows, with which housed stained glass. The church was very caliginous, only having the soft light of the moon to illuminate things through those windows. If one gazed up, a mural could be discerned within a cupola. It illustrated a devil lingering above the land, with which figures with red eyes stood; then, a huge sun encroaching upon the territory of that devil, and burning all that was. Afterward, the mural showed a few survivors, on their knees, worshiping what appeared to be a god floating in the air as the surrounding lands burned to ash. The robed figures surrounded an altar upon which stood an imposing golden statue of a muscular man, in nothing but a toga, holding out his hand. In his hand, burned a powerful flame. If one were to observe this statue, they would immediately notice the beautiful orange sapphire the size of one’s hand. This statue was six stories tall, reaching just below the cupola. “Ohmmm~~~!” everything shook once again due to the sheer power of those figures’ unified voices. All of the figures began to glow a soft reddish-orange holy light, reminiscent of the sun. The light began to get brighter, gradually overtaking the gentle light of the moon. On the altar, in the center, directly below the cupola, was another silhouette. This silhouette stood with its hands held out, radiating an even greater light than those below. “Ohmmm~~~!” the statue’s eyes began to shine a similar light. Moments later, the light from the robed figures began to wane, as if the statue was absorbing it. The silhouette below the statue, however, started glowing even brighter. Seconds passed. Seconds turned into minutes, and minutes, into hours. As every second ticked by, robed figures collapsed one after the other, their state unknown. The statue’s eyes were getting brighter as each fell. After seemingly an eternity, the silhouette’s light began to flicker out of existence. Just before it blinked out of the world, the statue’s eyes flared up, and the world seemingly stopped. The silhouette’s eyes began to match those of the statue. Suddenly, a deep, monotone voice escaped from the shadowy figure, “The boy with the Shadow Dragon Bloodline. Find him. Kill him. Wipe his whole lineage from the face of this region!” it boomed throughout the church, escaping through the walls as if they were illusory. People all throughout the region began to look in the direction of the church in response to some profound power. As the figure on the altar was speaking, cracks ,glowing the same color as the statue, began to appear around its body. As soon as the silhouette stopped speaking, it collapsed and the statue’s radiant glow began to fade. “Ohmmm~~~!” echoed out once more.

"The Weight of Distant Stars"

Inspired by stories such as "All quiet on the western front" In a war-torn city cloaked in despair, a man grapples with the haunting memories of his past as a soldier. As he wanders the empty streets of Moscow, the echoes of duty weigh heavily on his heart, pulling him into a world where hope feels like a distant star—faint, flickering, and almost unreachable. He is haunted by the stories of lives lost and the moral compromises he made in the name of honor. Amid this turmoil, the tale of a knight depicted in a mural—a figure burdened by a merciless command—resonates within him. Their stories intertwine, revealing the universal struggle between duty and conscience. The knight's tragic fate serves as a mirror for the protagonist's own search for meaning in a world steeped in suffering. As he navigates the darkness of his circumstances, he witnesses acts of kindness in the midst of chaos, and for the first time, begins to question the very beliefs that have defined him. Through his journey of despair and reflection, he finds himself drawn toward a glimmer of hope, as the faint, distant stars begin to take on new significance. "The Weight of Distant Stars" is a poignant exploration of the human spirit's resilience, the complexities of duty, and the unexpected pathways that lead to belief and hope, even in a world filled with echoes of sorrow. (this synopsis might be clickbait) Also, I am not a good artist so you aren't getting A cover.
