Runnin Owari No Seraph

Chain of Seraph

"You ran," His voice was low, deliberate, disturbingly calm. A statement, not a question. "You look at me as if I am the villain of your story," he mused. Her chest rose and fell, her legs ready to flee again, but her body betrayed her. Something unseen held her still—not magic, not fear. Something far worse. Him! Meribella forced herself to meet his gaze. "Aren’t you?" His lips curved, but there was no amusement in it—only certainty. "Did you truly think," he murmured, stepping closer, "that distance would make any difference?" His fingers lifted—a single, featherlight touch trailed from her wrist to her arm. She shivered. Her breath hitched as his hand brushed her throat. Not a grip. Not yet. But the touch alone sent ice through her veins. His fingers ghosted lower, resting lightly over her collarbone. His hand was warm. His presence was not. "Tell me, does that terrify you?" She should have lied. Should have begged, pleaded—anything but the truth. "No." The word left her lips before she could stop it. His thumb brushed against her pulse, feeling the rapid, traitorous beat beneath her skin. "Liar," he whispered in her ear, his warm breath sending a shiver of electricity coursing through her, making her ears flush with heat. The shadows behind him stretched, moving as though they had a will of their own. His golden-flecked eyes darkened, and the ember-like glow within them grew stronger. "You wear defiance well," His other hand lifted, his fingers barely ghosting over the curve of her jaw. Meribella swallowed, but the lump in her throat refused to budge. "But tell me, Meribella...what will remain of it once I take everything?" Her lips trembled. "You won’t." A low chuckle rumbled deep in his chest, "I already have." She hated him. She did. But her body, the very blood in her veins told a different story. Raze pulled back just enough to look at her thoroughly. His gaze trailed over her lips, the defiance and hesitation warring in her eyes. "Are you afraid of what I might do to you?" he murmured, watching her every reaction, every breath. Her lips parted, but no words came. Because the real question—the one she was too afraid to ask herself— Was she afraid of him? Or was she afraid...of what she would become in his hands? It’s a world of mystic powers shrouded in mystery, where reincarnation binds fates, and ambition drives dominance. Predators become prey. Who is a friend, and who is an enemy? Trust is a dangerous game. They were destined to fall in love. They were meant to deceive each other. They were fated to erase each other’s existence!

"When a human tries to become a god, their can only be one outcome." ---------------------------------- As I opened my eyes, I was greeted with a disorienting sight. I found myself lying on a cold, metal bed, my limbs tightly bound to it. The feeling of numbness that had overtaken my arms and legs was overwhelming, and I struggled to regain any semblance of control over my body. As I looked up, I noticed multiple blindingly bright light bulbs arranged in a grid pattern on the ceiling, casting an eerie glow throughout the room. It was a sight that had become all too familiar to me over time, and yet it never failed to fill me with a sense of dread. I couldn't remember how long I had been trapped in this sterile, white room, but it felt like an eternity. My memories were hazy, my mind clouded by the constant barrage of experiments and tests that I was subjected to on a daily basis. I had lost track of time, lost track of the days and weeks that passed me by. All I knew was that I was a prisoner, a mere puppet in the hands of my captors. The experiments were brutal, each one more invasive than the last. They probed and prodded at my body, searching for answers that I didn't have. I was a lab rat, a subject for their twisted experiments, and there was nothing I could do to stop them. The pain was excruciating, but I had learned to bear it with a stoic resolve. I had no choice but to endure it, to survive in this hellish existence for another day. I had no idea what lay beyond the sterile walls of my prison anymore. The outside world felt like a distant memory, a dream that I couldn't quite grasp. I was cut off from the rest of humanity, isolated in my own personal hell. The only contact I had with the outside world was the occasional visit from my captors, who would come in to administer more tests and take samples from my body. They treated me like an object, not a person, and it was a dehumanizing experience that had left me feeling like a shell of my former self. I had no free will, no autonomy. I was a puppet, a tool to be used and discarded at will. At least, that's what they wanted me to believe. But deep down, I knew that there was still a spark of humanity within me, a will to survive and fight back against my captors. It was a small glimmer of hope, but it was enough to keep me going, to give me the strength to endure another day of torture and pain. ---------------------------- Get ready for a hell of a Roller costar plot. Remember to thank me later...…
