She lived in seclusion, far from the human world, wrapping her snakes in a turban if she needed to venture into the human realm, and lived alone for centuries. While the other gods and goddesses walked among humans, Medusa's tale was told as a villainess, an evil woman. That is, until a young woman in her twenties named Elysia, a beautiful woman with a heavenly voice who was not afraid of Medusa, walked into the deep water near Medusa's territory.
