That Time I Got Reincarnated With Gacha System In Mahabharata

(This Story Takes Place In AU So, Don't Expect To Go Things As It Was In the Original Mahabharat.) Hindu x Greek x Norse (Mythologies Included) ******************* My name is Aditya. I am a seventeen-year-old who used to live in Kurukshetra, Haryana, and, of course, an orphan. Life was ordinary until a tragic accident took me away from the modern world—only to be reborn in a time I had only read about in history books: the Mahabharata era. As for how I got to this conclusion? Well, the answer to that question lies with the man-god sitting far away from me with a mischievous smile on his handsome face—Lord Krishna. It seems my memories awakened at a significant moment: the Swayamvara of Draupadi. Standing amidst an assembly of kings and warriors, I watch as Karna is insulted and humiliated for his lower caste. The tension in the air was palpable, and I realized that I was witnessing one of the most pivotal events in the Mahabharata. My heart raced with both excitement and dread. But as I tried to process this, something even stranger happened—a voice echoed in my mind. [Welcome, User! You have activated the Gacha System.] What on earth? Or rather, what in the Mahabharata? Before I could even fully comprehend the situation, I felt a strange pull within me, like an invisible force connecting me to something far greater. The system interface appeared in front of my eyes, listing various abilities, weapons, and companions—all locked behind a gacha mechanism. Apparently, I had been reincarnated not just as a mere observer but with a cheat ability straight out of a video game. The Gacha System allowed me to draw random skills, weapons, or even templates from the grand pool of every mythological lore. But there was a catch: each draw required "Fate Points," and earning those points meant altering the events of this world. As I stood there, watching the unfolding drama with Karna, I realized that I was no longer just a bystander. I had the power to change history, for better or worse. But meddling with destiny in such a grand tale came with unimaginable consequences. What if I anger the gods? What if I change the fate of heroes like Arjuna, Karna, or Bhishma? The weight of it all hit me like a thunderbolt. Still, one thing was certain—I couldn't let things play out the way they did in the original story, not if I had the power to make things right. With the Gacha System at my side, I had the chance to rewrite the Mahabharata itself. But I needed to be cautious. Lord Krishna’s knowing gaze seemed to pierce through me as if he already knew about my unique circumstances. Was he testing me? Guiding me? Or simply waiting to see how my actions would shape the future? Then let's start with this event itself. ********************** Disclaimer: Remember, this is a fanfiction about Mahabharata. Not "Original" Mahabharata. I have no intention to harm anyone's religious belief, I am just writing a what-if story from my perspective. If you don't like it, So I kindly request you not read further this.

THE EPIC OF MAHABHARATA

The Mahabharata: A Timeless Epic of Power, Betrayal, and Destiny Imagine a world where gods walk among men, where kingdoms rise and fall in the shadow of ambition, and where a devastating war reshapes the destiny of humanity. The Mahabharata is not just a story—it's a labyrinth of intrigue, moral dilemmas, and timeless wisdom. At the heart of the tale lies a bitter feud between two rival clans—the Pandavas and the Kauravas. Bound by blood yet torn apart by greed and jealousy, their battle for the throne of Hastinapura becomes the central axis around which an epic unfolds. Within this sprawling narrative, we encounter a blind king, a queen with a heart full of vengeance, a warrior cursed with immortality, and a teacher torn between loyalty and duty. The story crescendos into the Kurukshetra War, an apocalyptic conflict that forces heroes to confront their deepest fears and make unimaginable sacrifices. The Bhagavad Gita, a divine discourse between the warrior Arjuna and Lord Krishna, offers profound insights into life, duty, and the eternal struggle between good and evil. But this isn't just a tale of war—it's a tapestry woven with love stories, philosophical debates, supernatural events, and human emotions that resonate across the ages. In every twist and turn, the Mahabharata challenges us to question the nature of right and wrong and leaves us pondering: How far would you go to claim your destiny? This is not just a story; it’s a journey into the soul of humanity. Dare to step into its world, and you’ll never look at life the same way again.

Pleased with her service, Durvasa granted her a unique boon - the power to invoke any god of her choice and be blessed with a child imbued with divine qualities. Curiosity and innocence danced in the heart of young Kunti, who, in a moment of wonder, decided to test the veracity of the sage's words. Sundara Kānda: Hanuman's Odyssey

Whereas Mahabharata's Bhagvad-Gita is taken as a philosophical guide, Ramayana's Sundara Kãnda is sought for spiritual solace; many believe that reading it or hearing it recited would remove all hurdles and usher in good tidings! Miracles apart, it's in the nature of this great epic to inculcate fortitude and generate hope in man for it’s a depiction of how Hanuman goes about his errand against all odds. Besides, it portrays how Seetha, on the verge of self-immolation, overcomes despair to see life in a new light? With rhythm of its verse and the flow of the narrative this sloka to sloka transcreation of the canto beautiful of Valmiki's adi kavya - the foremost poetical composition in the world, Hanuman's Odyssey that paves the way for Rama to rescue his kidnapped wife is bound to charm the readers and listeners alike. Interestingly, as the following verse illustrates, this epic was the forerunner of the magic realism of our times – “Gripped she then him by shadow / Cast which Hanuman coast to coast, Recalled he in dismay then / What Sugreev said at outset / That one fiend had aptitude / To grip its prey by mere shadow.” On a personal note, my paternal grandfather, Bulusu Thimmaiah-garu, like many in his time, was a life-long practitioner of Sundara Kãnda parayana (the epic’s daily recital in part or full), whose spirituality could have providentially guided me in this, rather an effortless, trans-creative endeavour.

MAHABHARATA : LET DHARMA RULE

Yada Yada Hi Dharmashya, Glaanirvawati Bharata; Abhyutthanam Adharmashya, Tadattmanam Srijamyaham. Paritranaya Sadhunam, Vinashaya Cha Duskritam; Dharma Sansthapanaarthe Sambhawami Yuge Yuge. Meaning- Whenever there is a downfall of Dharma(righteous) in this Bharata( Universe), and upliftment of Adharma(unrighteous), I shall be reborn in this Land and free it from the cluthes of Adharma. I shall protect the righteous and followers of Dharma. And thus, in order to restablish Dharma on this Earth, I shall take rebirth from age to age( yuga to yuga). Thus, the motto behind Mahabharata was to restablish peace and Dharma on this Earth. It is to be noted that the Everytime there is an uplift of Adharma, God himself takes birth and establishes Dharma. Thus, there are 10 Avatars of God. Till date 9 of them have already taken place and the last, the Kalki Avatar is will be born at the end of the present Yuga( Kali Yuga). Let me also say that what Mahabharata really is. It is not a normal war between Pandavas and Kauravas for the sake of a kingdom. It is the fight between Dharma and Adharma, where God stand with Dharma always. No matter how big or how strong Adharma is, Dharma will surely win. But the story of Maha bharata was not only confined to the war in Kuru- kshetra, it was extended to afterlife and Swarga. Again, here victory in Mahabharata war is not personal, it is universal victory. There are two kinds of victory, Jaya and Vijaya. Vijaya is material victory, where there is a loser. But Jaya is spiritual victory, where there are no losers. In the war of Kuru- kshetra there is Vijaya, but not Jaya. Jaya occurs to Yudhisthira later, and he reaches Vaikuntha. And hence, the original name of Mahabharata( the one written by Lord Ganesha) was named as Jaya. Let Dharma Rule. Satyameva Jayate
