"Overkill" took over a decade to complete, but before it could be put to use, a peace treaty was signed and the century long warfare came to an abrupt close and the project was immediately abandoned. Three hundred years passed and the world once again found itself on the brink of destruction, entire nations breathing down each others throats, promising bloodshed. War looked to be inevitable and, with the prospect of war, the subjects known as "The Colored Mages" were released into the world.
