For most, the awakening happens naturally and early—manifesting as elemental magic, legendary combat skills, or incredible feats of strength. But for Silas, a young man from the ancient city of Eldar’s Hollow, the power he was promised has yet to materialize.
Now seventeen, Silas is on the cusp of adulthood, but still, his Aspect remains dormant, leaving him to question his purpose in a world that values power above all else. Though surrounded by classmates who have long since awakened their abilities, Silas struggles with a growing sense of inadequacy. On the eve of the final trial that will decide whether he will unlock his power or remain forever unremarkable, Silas faces a choice: accept the failure of a lifetime or confront the unknown.
