At just twelve, **Lin Yuan** begins his emotional and physical awakening in the quiet village of **Qinshui**, nestled near spirit-filled forests. One night, he experiences a vivid dream of a veiled girl in a glowing field. Upon waking, he is confused and afraid by the unfamiliar sensations in his body. Seeking comfort, he confides in his mother, **Lady An**, who gently explains that he is growing up. Reassured by her warmth, Lin Yuan takes his first steps into adolescence.
Meanwhile, unknown to the boy, his four powerful guardians—**Lady An** (his birth mother), **Lady Mingyan** (Tiger Demoness), **Lady Fengyan** (Golden Rock Bird Demoness), and **Lady Baihua** (Heavenly Python Demoness)—gather beneath the sacred Soul Tree to decide his fate. Recognizing that Lin Yuan is awakening spiritually and may soon attract unwanted attention from both demons and humans, they choose to send him to a human sect to protect his identity.
They settle on **Flowing Sky Pavilion**, a sect tolerant of outsiders, and devise a plan: Lin Yuan will go as himself, while his siblings **Xiao Hu** (a tiger cub) and **Qingxue** (Fengyan’s daughter) will pose as spiritual companions. The mothers will stay hidden in a pocket realm linked to his soul.
Lin Yuan begins his journey, carrying emotional gifts and blessings from the villagers. Along the way, he uses his training and gifts from his mothers to survive in the wild. He eventually rescues a mysterious woman—**Elder Yue Qingxuan** of the **Taiyin Sect**, who had crash-landed, poisoned and unconscious.
Following Lady Mingyan’s strange but effective instructions, Lin Yuan heals and stabilizes the woman. Impressed by his skills and sincerity, Yue Qingxuan accepts Lin Yuan as her disciple, despite the sect being all-female—and despite the fact that Lin Yuan is male.
Now bound by soul to a Taiyin Sect elder, Lin Yuan's destiny shifts dramatically. Though still naive and honest, he steps forward with courage, unknowingly entering a world of complex sect politics, hidden dangers, and legendary cultivation.
