The Convictions of a Devil
A rebellion against the suffocating gaze of omnipotence.
Who has the audacity?
Living in a realm where things are as they were, and time is but a gauge of how many universes have existed and fallen.
Who would remain sane?
Dipledius, the Overlord of the 'West', and the 'left hand of God', impassively erected himself in his pedestal as he grew weary of the machinations of the being that he had served since time immemorial. A God whose face he had not yet seen; a God, that even he, the ruler of half the firmament, cannot fathom.
This is an attempt, of Dipledius, second only to his superior, to play chess with an inevitability. An attempt to overpower omnipotence, and manipulate an absolute being that has melded and became one with the firmament itself.
"Laus Deo Semper... Long live the king" he said, as he made his first treasonous move.
