Good Bad Fortune

Love of Fortune and Steel

Love of Fortune and Steel is a historical fantasy that weaves together romance, comedy, adventure, and the clash of worlds. James, a modern-day banker with an unwavering passion for history, experiences an extraordinary transformation during a routine museum visit. A mysterious supernatural force transmigrates him into a parallel medieval realm—a world familiar yet distinctly altered with its own unique nations, rulers, customs, and the presence of mana, a mystical energy that enhances martial prowess. In this enigmatic land, James encounters Bisera, a formidable and strikingly beautiful general of the Vakerian Empire, locked in a desperate struggle against the powerful Gillyrian Empire. Utilizing items granted by the supernatural entity, James saves Bisera’s life. Grateful and believing him to be a divine emissary sent by the Universal Spirit in response to her prayer, Bisera invites James to join her in defending the Vakerian Empire. As two souls isolated by their disparate worlds, a profound romance swiftly ignites between them. However, Bisera’s devout faith and the heavy burden of her responsibilities compel her to restrain their relationship, fearing that any overt passion might conflict with her duties and incur the wrath of the Universal Spirit, condemning their souls and the Vakerian Empire to ruin. James, enthralled by Bisera’s personality and talent, finds himself irresistibly drawn to her, yet frustrated by the invisible barriers she maintains. The vast differences in their worldviews and customs, coupled with James’s determination to return to his own world—an eventuality that might irrevocably separate them—act as chains on their blossoming love. With his modern knowledge and items, along with Bisera’s reliance on him, James quickly becomes an invaluable asset to the Vakerian Empire. However, this also makes him a target of Vakerian court politics and Gillyrian diplomacy. Their bond is further tested with the arrival of Saralta, a bold and free-spirited cavalry commander from the Vakerian steppes. In stark contrast to Bisera’s reserved and devout nature, Saralta pursues James with unbridled confidence and charm, challenging Bisera’s deeply held beliefs. Saralta’s liberal approach to love ignites a complex and often comical love triangle, forcing Bisera to confront her fear of losing James to Saralta’s advances and her greater dread of endangering their souls should they succumb to their feelings. As the Gillyrian onslaught intensifies, James, Bisera, and Saralta are swept into a maelstrom of love, duty, and faith. Bisera grapples with her unwavering sense of duty and steadfast faith, torn by the love that binds her to James. Saralta oscillates between the allure of freedom and the demands of propriety. Meanwhile, James must navigate his deep emotional devotion to Bisera and his fiery physical attraction to Saralta, all while striving to find a way between the two worlds before losing them both.

"Good lord."

The sound of slicing carrots from the kitchen was overoded with whatever sort of noise from the room of the other side. Not that the lady minded anyways, it was a sort of comfortable noise and reassurance that the kids do enjoy it here and held a certain point of comfortability. At least they weren't at all a silent suffering shell. In the other room, the kids were everywhere. Some doing risky thing, like trying to do creative tricks off a ladder, and others talking to their little group. A group of friends laid on the upper bunkers and a few kids were under one of the beds and figured that they started gossiping of heated arguments. Right in the middle of the room was a relatively small number of kids, playing a game of Duck Duck Goose maybe. They hit each other's heads as hard as they could and each reaction they got had rendered poor Jack into a wheezing gasping mess. The girl next to him was looking like she's having the time of her life, and maybe she is. Smiling beauty that could have won this year's beauty contest, was Jane -without-a-last-name. (And although she did have a last name, she prefers not to use it.) And Jane, all bright eyed and such and angel, holy and sweet and you could easily compare it to a toddler who got a bite of his first candy, was having the time of her life. _____ Alternatively, from the author. I guess you could call it a contest submission that and I am always driven by spite and also money. A friend sent this to me and somehow that turned on a sense that I should join this. WSA 2022 submission (If I recited that correctly since I'm on mobile and all) Fantasy and number 4. A female lead who's a vampire dumped at a orphanage or something. Realizes she's a vampire, goes be mature. Decided to write some backbone, a past to look back into for the future chapters. If I get more than a 100K words that would be a relief, if I get an award I think I'll just use that for my first Iphone and use that to play Genshin for the first time. ( I'll touch grass I promise. Why are most of you pay to win in that game anyway lmao) After this is done I might rewrite most things, all I'm doing now is writing every single thing that comes into mind. Though that's not assured yet. My laziness has it's ways with me. No discord, I can't manage it. No way to support me with money, I can't manage that too. Vote stuff, put whatever little thing you want in your comments, and I'll respond with memes and maybe an actual good reply. If you recognize me outside of social media, for one, this is hell, and two, I can't help but use punctuation every damn time.

Theirteen Loves, One Fortune

Theirteen Loves, One Fortune By Sana As Tristian sat across from Sana Mitsubishi in the quaint café, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee mingling with the soft hum of conversation enveloped them. Sana's laughter, like music to his ears, echoed through the air, drawing him closer with each melodious note. "You know, you're a dangerous man, Tristian," Sana teased, playfully nudging him as her eyes danced with mischief. Tristian chuckled softly, his gaze fixed on her radiant smile. "Dangerous? How so?" He quipped, leaning in to meet her gaze. Sana, her demeanor laced with playful skepticism, leaned back in her chair, a knowing glint in her eyes. "Thirteen women, Tristian. Thirteen hearts you've captured with your charm," She remarked, a hint of amusement in her voice. Tristian met her gaze, his expression softening with sincerity. "Ah, but none as captivating as yours, Sana," He confessed, his voice laced with genuine admiration. Sana rolled her eyes, though a fond smile tugged at the corners of her lips. "Smooth talker," She countered, though her tone betrayed a hint of affection. As their conversation ebbed and flowed, a question lingered in the air, unspoken yet palpable. "And what about promises, Tristian? Are you capable of making those?" Sana finally asked, her gaze searching for his sincerity. Tristian's expression turned solemn, his gaze never wavering from hers. "I've learned that promises are fragile things, easily broken," he began, his voice tinged with vulnerability. "But I can promise you this, Sana -- I'll always be honest with you, and I'll always cherish what we have, for as long as you'll have me." Sana's eyes softened, a gentle smile gracing her lips. "I suppose that'll have to be enough for now," she conceded, her voice filled with warmth. Tristian reached across the table, taking her hand in his, his touch gentle yet firm. "For now and for always, Sana," he vowed, his words carrying the weight of his newfound resolve. --- Info: This story is inspired from real experiences. Only the concept is derived out of it.
