OBSIDIAN RIFT
In a broken world where survival hangs by a thread, Dunmore’s protective dome is the only barrier that stands between its people and the chaos outside. For decades, it has held firm, but with every spark of the crystal of the goddess Ilona, fear spreads that the end of humanity's last stand is nigh.
Aric, a young defiant Vanguard warrior, has always been trained to protect Dunmore from demonic assaults but when rumors spread of the Aetherion; a sentient artifact of great power that vanished over two decades ago, he’s thrust into a conflict that extends far beyond his city’s walls. Aric must venture into the unknown, only to find that the world beyond the dome is far more dangerous and fractured than he imagined.
The gods begin to resurface, in a bid to delay their inevitable downfall, turning their attention toward the mortals, hoping to manipulate humanity to reclaim what they had lost. However, alliances between gods and mortals are fragile, and as the search for the Aetherion increases, betrayal and ambition threaten to turn allies into enemies.
The battle for survival is no longer just about Dunmore, it's about preventing the end of the world. Blood will be spilled, of both gods and mortals, as the lines between savior and destroyer blur. As faith weakens and power corrupts, Aric will be forced to confront the truth: sometimes, the greatest threats come from those sworn to protect.
This is a tale of desperation and betrayal, where gods and mortals collide in a race against time. But in the search for salvation, will they find only destruction?
