Loader Than Words
As Adam walks with his umbrella in the city at night, he spots his friend, Scarlett, from afar, as she tiredly, melancholically, looks at the ground while crossing busy street.
Scarlett is a mute, cool beauty, and although she isn’t physically disabled, because of something that happened to her in the past that even she doesn’t know, her brain doesn’t allow her to speak anymore.
Adam approaches her out of concern, “Hey… Is everything alright?”, he then notices the fact that her attire isn’t only that of a suit and vest, but she’s also carrying a sword on her back.
Why does she look so sad, and what sort of job does she do that requires her to wear a suit and carry a sword like a badass?
No matter the answers that come from asking such questions, Adam knows only one thing for certain:
Although he may not be the main character of this world, at the very least, he would like to provide the normal, peaceful moments that she may be needing in her life.
…
At least, that’s what he had hoped.
