God Source

God Source is about a boy named Cato who lives on the Continent, Terra. Terra is home to six deities, Mountain, Nature, Fire, Ocean, Demon, and Beast. These deities grant their subjects powers through contracts, allowing their subjects to use a portion of the deity's true power. However, some deities are restless and expecting war. Will Cato have enough time to become a warrior to save his family and friends? Or will he walk a path of revenge, forever alone, never to experience true joy again? Read to find out. P.S. I recommend reading until 'The Ceremony' before dropping the story:) EXCERPT: As I touched the red gemstone, my body launched into a tunnel. It felt like one of the tunnels I would walk through every day to get to the town square, but something was off. The sconces on the wall were different colored flames, some red, some blue, some white, and some even green. I wasn't walking, yet I was gliding through the tunnel. I continued to speed up until the sconces turned into bright blurs in my vision. 'I wonder what that huge noise was outside? Nobody has attacked the Fire Tribe in years; it couldn't have been an attack, right?' My thoughts raced as I thought about where Blaze and Angelica might have been in the line. 'Well, let's hope that they already completed their ceremony. Hell, Blaze could be a True Power Wielder by now, and I wouldn't even know it,' I tried to calm myself with anything I could think of as I raced by the now solid line of changing colors. When I finally came to the end of the tunnel, it spat me out onto a never-ending expanse of the color red. The horizon glowed a brighter red while, what should have been the sky above me, was a dark maroon providing little light. The floor was the most interesting. It seemed as if it were stained the color it was—a dark, unsightly red. I tried to move around in this infinite box I had been transported to, and to my surprise, I could. I stretched my arms out above my head and realized I was still holding onto the crystal. 'Well, it couldn't hurt to have this, I guess.' I stuffed the gem in my pocket and continued to move forward. Whatever forward even meant in an endless abyss. It also did not help that the tunnel put me here and as quickly left me behind. I studied the floor more with nothing else to do. I pushed my index finger into it and was met with solid resistance. When I dragged my finger across the floor, it picked up a line of crusted red that had stained the floor. I brought it to my nose and came to one conclusion; Blood. This never-ending expanse, someone had coated it in blood. As if reading my thoughts, a commanding voice resounded behind me, "Yes, it's blood, any other questions?"

Gods' Gaze

Every civilization in embryo aspires to be Rome while the one on deathbed laments it. Inspired by Rome, Gods’ Gaze is an epic historical fantasy of multiple POVs relying on authentic stratagems of twists and turns. No one gets to Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo out of trouble. "All warfare is based on deception, like the theater." Evoking his late father’s words, Cato Duilius Claudius assumes the alias, Moon Xeator, and he vows to have his vengeance. In the upcoming years, he plots to restore the dual consulship, his father’s legacy, by bringing down the Praetor Magnum and the Triumvirate that slaughtered his family when he was a child. Aware that nothing would crush a man as much as the chink in his own armor, he sows suspicions among his foes and lures them into overreaching. He games the power structure in which all participants are corruptible. Those he keeps around, he taps into their fears, hates, and wants as grist for his mill. He turns his friends into pawns, as does his life a board of chess. But the game he plays cuts both ways. His vengeance also brings home the bitterest misery, which is to know so much and still have control over so little. And there is no return for him now. He can’t look back as there is nothing behind; nor does he dare look forward, knowing the road ahead. All he has is the time at hand, and it all slips through him into ruins like quicksand. When he trades in what he holds dear only to arrive at his destination, what will he find there when nothing can ease the pain of his losses? Fleshed out by his flaws, Xeator never meant to choose good over evil. His journey rings true that every important idea is only valid as in a paradox with an opposing idea, and the power to rise obliterates, too.

Mors Aranea Academy.

The Prestigious, The Elite. The number one academy in the whole world. Mors Aranea Acadamy, otherwise known as M.A.A. Only five hundred students are specifically chosen to attend every year. In all of these five hundred I have been chosen to officially attend as a student at MAA. It’s an unbelievably amazing honour. Except for the fact that I am a mundane with no magical powers whatsoever and I only have the opportunity to attend is because bloody nepotism still exists. I am Cassian Cato. I am a straight descendant of the great Calix Cato. One of the ten most powerful mages of old. He was a powerful mage who built the Cato Dukedom from the ground. He also helped immensely in the “ War Of Death” He helped us win against the greatest of evils and sent them straight back to hell, where they belonged. I have most of his blood in my veins. I should be a powerful mage yet, I’m not. I am weak. I am powerless and I have no display of magic in my blood at all. Those were the words my father constantly told me. Those were the words I believed to be true. My mother, Dorethea Cato believes that I will soon break the supposed seal on me. She says that I am to be one of the most extraordinary mages of my time. Though my father denies it blatantly. I am now in my second year at MAA and I have yet to show any sort of magic. One day after a group of students have finished their daily beating at me, I lay on the cold, hard ground of the yard behind the Academy as it starts to rain heavily. I have given up all hope. Just as I am about to close my eyes forever, I feel an immense pain in my heart. I hear a voice calling to me. It tells me it is not my time to sleep yet and I wake up in my dorm with powers that have suddenly been unleashed. I suppose mother was right…. ______________ Mors Aranea is not what you believe it to be. Neither were the ‘Ten Mages of Old’ said a voice as sweet as honey, yet the words it spoke were filled with malice. _____________ This book will be portrayed in 3rd pov for the majority of the chapters but the synopsis only has a brief pov of Cassians life.
