Tras la aparición de misteriosas criaturas, que uno solo podría encontrar en leyendas y pesadillas la antigua humanidad llego al borde de la extinción, obligados a esconderse y desaparecer, la humanidad desapareció del mapa por 200 años. Durante este tiempo los humanos mutaron y desarrollaron diferentes capacidades, una mayor esperanza de vida, la habilidad de sincronizarse con las criaturas o fragmentos de su alma y absorber algunos de sus poderes, absorber piedras que dan diferentes poderes llamadas piedras del sabio. Tras ese periodo de desaparición la humanidad resurgió de mano del mayor héroe de la "nueva humanidad" llamado Arturo Gladio, quien fundo la primera ciudad y actual capital de la humanidad "Estrella del amanecer". Pero esto fue hace 400 años con 20 ciudades principales y algunas ciudades menores la humanidad lucha por su expansión y el intento de retomar un mundo que les pertenecía en tiempos pasados. Estando en una época complicada, donde la expansión se dificulto hasta el punto donde con todas sus fuerzas la humanidad apenas mantiene el territorio que ya tiene.
