However, this was not near enough to stop the greed of the governments, who instead began to pay mothers at hospitals to give their babies over. While slower, the amount of super-powered individuals significantly increased. Now, fifty years later, almost every major country in the world has a special military division dedicated to children born with powers. Members of the military are even old enough to have kids, which is heavily encouraged by the government. That's exactly where my problems began.
