A lonely girl was deceived into being captured by a race of powerful winged mages to give birth to their kids. The hated fate of their Queen Bee was complicated by the appearance of other more powerful magicians who flew to their colony from another planet. Intro  Welcome to the universe of syrinxes - winged vampires, a multi-gender community. For two thousand years, powerful magicians have been in an endless war with the flesh-eaters Zirux, who outnumber them, so they recruited mortal people to help, colonizing 22 planets and forcing women to give birth to half-breed offspring for the needs of the war. The story begins with the first book, The Syrinxes of Zaria. The action takes place on an abandoned colony seven years away by space ship from the main stronghold of the planet Xantari, ruled by five ancient Archons.
