Awoken Mementos

Mated by Moonlight: The CEO’s Forbidden Wolf

Maris Hayes is awoken to a burning crescent scarred into her wrist and wolves scratching at her door. In no less than twelve hours she’s signed a binding agreement with the Rowan coucilor, healer who is supposed to be her protector, yet bound to protect the very same coucil who wants her caged. But the most dangerous threat of all isn’t to the Mulgray Twins, it’s to the bad boyblood co-owning Charles Blackwood. Completely ruthless billionaire who would do anything to protect his secrets. Blackwood tags 8 Maris as a terrorist and posts an order to kill across the city and the city goes insane. Snipers hunt from the rooftops, war‑machines emerge from secret vuali, and a drone packed with mutation gas heads for the subway at rush hour. Each escape reveals a darker secret; Maris’s missing brother is the world’s perfect, and perfectly evil, replacement—and the army’s final creation, born in the camp with Maris’s blood, is terrifyingly sympathetic. Hunted from glittering boardrooms to witchy moonlit nights, and just as Maris discovers the dark prophecy churning inside her, she is betrayed by the one person she thought she could trust the most. Allies change without notice, lovers are targets, and every chapter closes with a question more pointed than a claw: Can the wolf‑blood heiress create a new world to light the way into the future or will she stand and watch it burn under the shadow of the billionaire’s throne?

"The Prehistoric Survival Manual: Written by an Engineer"

The sky smelled different. When Li Xiu opened his eyes, the first thing he noticed was not the sky’s brightness or the canopy of unfamiliar leaves above him, but the scent—earthy, humid, sharp like crushed bark and smoke. Then came the pain. A dull ache pulsed behind his temples, like someone had struck him with a rock. He sat up groggily, wincing as dizziness made his vision swim. His hands were small. His arms—thin. His feet bare, caked with dried mud. He looked down at his body. It was… wrong. Too small. Too light. Like the limbs of a malnourished child. And then, the memories hit. Not his memories. Not all at once, but in fragments—mud huts and fire pits, cold streams and stone knives. A hunting spear too heavy to lift. A group of children laughing and shouting, calling him names in a tongue that he somehow understood. “Mu,” they called him. “Grass-Eater.” “Idiot.” “The one who spits meat.” Li Xiu clutched his head, panting. This wasn’t a dream. He had died. Or perhaps not quite died—but his body was gone. Left behind in some sterile lab, slumped over a desk cluttered with microgrid diagrams and empty coffee cups. And now, somehow, he had awoken in this world—no, in this body. The village was already awake. Smoke curled from cooking fires, and the scent of roasted meat drifted from the central pit. Women with painted faces stirred thick broth in stone pots. Men returned from the morning hunt dragging the carcass of something that looked like a cross between a deer and a boar, its tusks nearly as long as a man’s arm. A tall man—broad-shouldered, dark-eyed—spotted him and sneered. “Mu,” he barked, tossing something at his feet. A hunk of half-raw meat. “Eat, before the dogs do it for you.” Li Xiu stared at the meat, throat dry. It stank. He could see flies already gathering at the edges, and the fat was still twitching from leftover nerve reflexes. His stomach turned. He remembered, vaguely, that Mu—the original owner of this body—had always refused meat. Or more precisely, his body had refused it. Sensitive digestion. Vomiting. Nausea. The tribe believed it was weakness. Uselessness. A soul not worth calling back from the womb. But the original Mu hadn’t been able to explain it. Li Xiu could. He understood the importance of balance, of nutrition, of edible plants rich in minerals. He remembered how certain roots could be dried into powder, how leaves could be used to prevent infection. But in this world, none of that mattered. Meat was the food of warriors. Meat was the gift of the gods. Chewing leaves? That was for deer. Or worse, for idiots like him. Still, hunger gnawed at him. He turned from the meat and wandered toward the outer edge of the village, where the moss grew thick and the children rarely played. He crouched by a familiar patch of herbs—low-growing stalks with broad, silvery leaves. He recognized the scent: wild yarrow. Good for digestion. Slightly bitter. Edible. He plucked a handful and chewed thoughtfully, ignoring the whispers that followed him. “There goes the grass-boy again.” “Is he even human?” “He must be cursed.” Li Xiu didn’t reply. He sat on a flat stone beside the creek, watching the water ripple past, chewing slowly. His mind, though disoriented, remained sharp. This body might be young, small, and weak—but it had survived. For years. Alone in a tribe that mocked it. Somehow, Mu had lived with nothing but plants and scraps, instincts, and a strange sense of calm. And now, Li Xiu had inherited all that. He looked down at his stained hands, then at the huts in the distance, smoke curling against the morning sky. This wasn’t the life he had planned. But maybe… just maybe… It was a life he could rebuild. Not through hunting. Not through violence or brute strength. But through something far more enduring. Knowledge. And if all he had, for now, were weeds and roots and a brain full of engineering theory— Then so be it. The idiot boy who ate grass would

Selena's Last Descendant

Originally just a little BL smut for my self fun [The male lead is gay and the novel will contain explicit sexual content in few chapters] Victor - or Vi, was a baby happened to be found by a herb gatherer, in some wooden basket in the middle of nowhere. He ends up in an orphanage - growing well under Mother Anise care with his siblings until he eventually got adopted at 10. 'Dont forget to write to us okay!', Ray, a 10 years old boy who grew up with the other orphans represented the family of current 14 people. Vi entered the carriage of the local lord, Lord Miaster. He got intrigued by the violet eyes and white hair - a characteristic of an ancient tribe of 'human', made by Selena the Moon Goddess Herself. He loves ancient history of the Erde - the world they are in. Although... in just 2 years, the Lord's family, was eventually executed for 'treason' under a cover of 'accident'. Vi was not informed of the political matters early on, and he too never cared for it - and aren't really aware of what his adoptive parent did to warrant their ending. He eventually got displaced into the slums when he was just 12. The slums aren't as bad under the policies of the kingdom. There's even a newly built public bathhouse and small hospital for them recently. Thankfully, he had learn basics to magic in those 2 years and manage to get by by himself for awhile doing chores for the adventurer guild. They restrict magic beasts hunting and exploration for those under 15 so although Vi thinks he could do it with his skills, he can only do chores for a while. After a month of settling himself, he writes a letter to the orphanage, to tell about things that had happened. Usually mother Anise reply would reach in 2 weeks or so... but he never got a reply. He ride the carriage across 2 towns and reached the place... only to find in horror the building was scorched and in ruin. Panicking, he ran to the adventurer guild and ask for information. A large fire engulfed the place a month ago - killing all the residents. Vi was beyond heartbroken - but Vi who had memories from his past life recently recovered after such traumatic experience, at least had better mentality with those past memories. It still took years to move on, and it still pains him when he remembers the family he had. But life has to go on. Eventually 2 years later an old magician scholar, Magi Timaeus took notice of Vi - and wanted to take him in as a student because of his talent in magic. Vi was very interested in magic and agreed. Timaeus was not a good parental figure and he's more like a teacher that always absent, staying in his room and when he is there he would only check Vi's progress as he gave tons of books for Vi to read and practice on. In a sense Vi was self taught. There's an emotional gap between them, but Vi is still thankful to him for the resources that normal people will never get - well, at least if they aren't rich or have high enough position. He can now instant cast simple spells - and modify simple ones to his liking. Magic is more like programming of the world - using Language of the World - called Origin. Until one fateful day, in the middle of the night, he was awoken by a huge explosion and a loud ringing in his ears. He stood up in his pajamas, gulping his saliva. He hears more explosions and the walls and the floor shaking and cracks appears on the building. An adventure awaits him, as he move from town to town to cross the country with Ray - who were close to killing him that night.
