FRACTURED GENESIS: A world on the brink
Humanity was already teetering on the edge. Nations crumbled under the weight of war, resources dwindled, and old alliances shattered into dust. What began as political unrest spiraled into full-scale conflict, a global war waged not just between countries, but between ideologies, factions, and those desperate to survive.
Then, the world itself changed.
A cosmic anomaly, whether a natural event or something far more sinister bathed the Earth in an unknown energy. Some claimed it was evolution, others a curse. But the result was undeniable: people began awakening unique abilities. At first, they were scattered, anomalies among the ruins. But as their numbers grew, so did the chaos.
These new powers ignited the dying embers of war into an unstoppable inferno. Factions rose, each seeking dominance, some believing they were humanity’s salvation, others embracing raw power for conquest. Governments, if they could even be called that anymore, desperately tried to regulate the gifted, while extremists hunted them down out of fear. And from the shadows, outside threats, beings or forces awakened by the same event watched, waiting for their moment to strike.
With civilization on its last breath, the question remains: will these new abilities be the key to survival, or the final push into oblivion?
