Caiden’s final breath escaped him as he slumped against the cold, unforgiving earth, his blood pooling like the depths of his regret. The weight of his failure was crushing. This damned life. This cursed story. And damn it all, Lorian. The continent’s golden hero. The shining protagonist.
Caiden had been just an ordinary man from Earth. Now, he was stranded on Gaia, a world where steel clashed and magic roared. By Lorian’s side, he fought, forged bonds, won battles, and faced impossible odds. But beneath the surface of their camaraderie, envy festered—poisoning his every thought, drowning him in despair.
And then, the betrayal.
He turned on Lorian. And everything came crashing down.
