Ciel Adams is a Fourth Stage Esper from the now destroyed last stronghold of humanity; Bastion City. Comme si elle avait perdu tout son pouvoir, la météorite disparu juste après. La destination de ces petits fragments fût surprenante... Redirigé en éclats de lumières, ils traversa les yeux de plusieurs centaines de personnes. Les élus ayant étés baignés par cette radiance se virent à chacun attribué un nouveau pouvoir. Certains décidèrent de suite à utiliser ce gain de puissance destructeur invincible pour faire le mal, ce qui déclencha des guerres... Afin d'empêcher ces personnes malhonnêtes d'agir, une profession destiné uniquement aux détenteurs de pouvoirs ampli de justice fût former, Eyes Blaster.

Tout le monde pensait que la Famille Ruo ne renverserait jamais la vapeur de leur destin dans cette vie ! Jusqu'au jour où l'enfant mentalement handicapé de trois ans et demi s'écria soudainement, "Maman..." Les cieux commençaient à changer. Le monde commençait à revêtir un air mystérieux. Dans la cour de la Famille Ruo, les kakis mûrissaient du jour au lendemain. Les légumes dans les champs, presque grignotés jusqu'à la tige par les insectes, devenaient luxuriants et verts. La vieille poule qui n'avait jamais pondu se mit soudain à pondre... Tandis que les autres faisaient face à la famine, le grenier de la Famille Ruo était plein. Le fils aîné n'était plus fou, le deuxième fils n'était plus estropié, le troisième fils n'était plus aveugle... La vieille dame de la Famille Ruo, les mains sur les hanches, riait à gorge déployée vers le ciel, "Qui dit que ma Xuanbao est simple d'esprit ? Elle est clairement un trésor de bénédictions !" Ce monde autrefois prospère est désormais marqué par la destruction. Les cités humaines ont été englouties par la guerre et la magie dévastatrice, laissant place à un paysage de ruines et de chaos. Les forêts autrefois luxuriantes sont désormais corrompues, et les rivières, autrefois pures, sont obscurcies par la magie noire. Un gigantesque portail béant déchire le ciel, reliant ce monde à des créatures maléfiques et des entités surnaturelles venues d'autres dimensions. La magie, jadis source de vie, est désormais une arme dangereuse, pervertie par l'énergie instable du portail. Les survivants, des guerriers solitaires, des mages ou des créatures étranges, luttent pour leur survie dans un monde où l'obscurité semble toujours plus proche. Mais malgré la dévastation, un mince espoir persiste : l'espoir que l'équilibre puisse être restauré, même si ce monde ne sera plus jamais ce qu'il était. Chaque recoin de ce monde caché de dangers est également un terrain de choix, où les personnages doivent se décider entre lumière et ténèbres, rédemption et damnation. La guerre fait rage, mais dans les cœurs des survivants brûle encore une lueur d'espoir.
