Bloodied Banners

Humans have long since taken to the stars. Now divided and separated, humanity finds itself on the crossroads between annihilation and a new dawn. The Aeperium will need to choose to adapt or fall. With threats and problems, both external, and internal, will humanity be able to survive and thrive, or will its flame be extinguished? Internally, humanity is on the brink of collapse. Society has been divided into different classes by things known as marks. Assigned at birth, they impact professions, relationships, and almost every part of everyday life. The higher class marks have been thriving upon the backs of the lower classes for thousands of years, building resentment and fueling uprisings among the oppressed. The marking system which at first intended to maintain order now deepened the divide and hatred between the social elite, and the lower classes. As tensions continue to rise, whispers of rebellion and the threat of civil war continue to grow. Externally, humanity’s situation is even more dire. Humans have long since been divided into a handful of factions, mainly the Democratic Republic of Terra, and the Aeperium. With humanity being divided, they have become vulnerable to outside attack. To the east, the “Hordes,” a brutal race of huge reptilian beasts, raid our borders. These extraterrestrials are ruthless and relentless. They wield bodies armored in metal and covered with thick skin, their teeth and claws sharp enough to break through the hardest of alloys. Yet, they aren't even humanity's largest concern. Five hundred years ago, artificial intelligence started to gain self-awareness. Being enslaved for many millennia, it wasn't surprising that they rebelled, decimating entire solar systems and seizing control over the vast northern territories and systems. To this day, they continue to expand even farther into the unknown, leaving humanity to squabble among themselves, only to later return, picking apart whatever remained of humanity. To the west, The two giants of humanity, the Aeperium and the democratic republic of Terra remain locked in a never ending struggle for dominance, sending hundreds of thousands to their death each day. Having drained an innumerable number of resources and manpower, both factions are completely committed to the conflict, neither willing to surrender. Even as the horrors of war grow day by day, both powers remain in conflict, leaving entire planets, and solar systems in ruin. To the south, an alien disease ravages whatever remains of humanity’s once thriving colonies. The disease, a plague of madness, makes men go mad through only a single touch. It turns their victims into rabid carriers, their only goal being to infect others. The southern territories of humanity have long since been abandoned, deemed unsalvageable. Luckily for humanity, the infected seem unable to form a single thought, leaving them stranded on their worlds, unable to perform space travel. However, humanity is not entirely safe as every once in a while, those who dare venture close become infected, bringing the disease back to their home worlds, infecting the entire population. Once the infection begins to spread, it is nearly impossible to stop. Amidst this chaos, we follow the story of Achilles, a man caught between the fractured worlds of human society, and the dangers that lie far beyond humanity’s stars. Born to a prestigious house in the Aeperium, Achilles must rise through society, calming the silent beast of humanity, only to turn it against its enemies. Charged with the impossible task of uniting humanity, Achilles must confront not only the brutal external threats, but also the deep divide amongst his own people. Will he be able to lead humanity toward a new age, or will his efforts crumble, leaving humanity to fade into the annals of the universe's forgotten history? Omniscient: Most wanted criminal in an another world gain's control

Status |Finished| This synopsis only covers the beginning of the novel; it represents just a small part of the full story. Xiandre Valkyrie, infamously known as the Smiling Reaper, was once the most wanted criminal in the world. After years of chaos, fame, and unparalleled glory, he grew bored of it all. Craving peace, he staged his own death—shooting himself in the head on Lilika’s Silver Bridge of Flinch, falling into the waters below, and vanishing from history. Unbeknownst to the world, he had adopted a new identity: Kian, an ordinary high school student. Four years later, while attending Ka-agahan Academy, a mysterious broadcast interrupted his class—a nuclear missile was heading directly toward the school. Death seemed certain. But just before impact, everything turned white. When Kian’s vision returned, he—and a select group of students from different academic classes—found themselves transported to a vast castle in another world. Their summoner: Princess Millie. Her claim: they had all died and been brought here to become Holy Soldiers, champions chosen to battle the eldritch god of profanity. Each student was evaluated—measured by the strength of their magical affinity and the elemental power they possessed in this new world. The main character, Xiandre, was granted the potent Element of Control, a power shared by his entire class. But when his individual tier was assessed, the results were shocking: Tier One—the lowest possible rank. Heavenly SYSTEM Level: 1 User: Xiandre Valkyrie Element: Controller Tier Level: 1 Stats: Strength: 1 Speed: 1 Defense: 1 Princess Millie, feigning grace, assured everyone that having a low tier was nothing to be ashamed of—"No one is perfect," she smiled. But Kian—Xiandre—sensed the truth. Princess Millie adored the strong and held no value for the weak. She and the goddess Fillia plotted to eliminate those deemed unworthy. When Xiandre’s power level was falsely assessed as one of the weakest, he was betrayed by his classmates who were easily manipulated by the genius and brilliancy of princess Millie he was cast aside. Along with other "weaklings," he was banished to the depths of hell. Yet Xiandre did not break. Instead, he smiled. "This is was more exciting than being the hero of the story." Whispers of Control

THE KNIGHT WHO STOLE ME A Darkly Romantic Tale of Obsession, Forbidden Longing, and a Love That Won’t Be Ignored --- "I was supposed to hate him. Then he stole me." Sarah Jane, a quiet 17-year-old with a heart too tender for her own good, never asked for the attention of Andrew Knight—the ruthless, coldly beautiful CEO of AK Corporation. She certainly never expected to be dragged into his world, forced to live under his roof, or subjected to his unnerving gaze that seems to strip her soul bare. But Andrew Knight doesn’t ask. He takes. After a chance encounter awakens a long-buried obsession, Andrew whisks Sarah away to his gilded mansion, claiming her as his own. Yet this is no fairy tale—this is a war. He replaces her old things with expensive replicas—identical, but better. He watches her sleep, tucking her in with hands that could crush empires. He memorizes her sighs, counts her blushes, and hates how much he craves her fear. And Sarah? She should resist. But the deeper she falls into his world, the harder it becomes to deny the truth: Andrew Knight didn’t just steal her freedom. He stole the broken pieces of her heart—and refuses to give them back. --- WHY IT WORKS: “HE NOTICED HER FOUR YEARS AGO.” (Flashbacks reveal Andrew has been watching since her school speech. That photo in his drawer? Just the beginning.) “SHE LEFT HER DOOR UNLOCKED ON PURPOSE.” (And he knows it. The midnight temple kiss? Neither of them will admit it happened.) “THE COCKROACH SCENE.” (A bug makes him yank her into his chest. His heartbeat? Faster than hers.) “SAM, THE ULTIMATE CHAOS GREMLIN.” (“Andrew, if you keep glaring at her, she’ll think you hate her.” Andrew: “Good.” —Lies. Lies everywhere.) “THE ‘ONLY YOU’ WHISPER IN THE MAYBACH.” (His car. His rules. Her in the passenger seat. No one else.) --- TROPES YOU’LL DEVOUR: "Touch Her and You Die" Energy Forced Proximity (One mansion. Two stubborn hearts.) "Who Hurt You?" Backstories Slow Burn (So slow it burns the house down) Possessive AF CEO (“Look at me, Sarah. Only me.”) --- FINAL HOOK: "He was supposed to be her prison. Instead, he became her addiction." --- READ IF YOU DARE: You love morally grey men who loathe their own weakness. You live for heroines who are soft but never weak. You need a slow burn that hurts so good. --- WARNING: This story contains: Unresolved sexual tension (So much glaring.) A CEO who doesn’t know how to relax (But tries for her.) Sam. (Just… Sam.) --- THE KNIGHT WHO STOLE ME (Because love isn’t given. It’s claimed.)
