Loving the Superstar
Arabella Gabriel Lichuanco has always cheered silently for Nicolo Andres, one of their school's hottest bastketball player. An almost perfect guy, good in athletics, studies, comes from a well-off family and very good looking. He stands 6'3 ft tall, tan skin, lean muscles, thick and long eyelashes, cute pointed nose, beautiful dark eyes, and sexy curved lips.
Almost all the girls in school swoons over him and are very daring to express their admiration, except for her. She was just an ordinary girl, with ordinary looks, and ordinary grades. She in fact doesn't more or less exist, she cannot dare to express any admiration to anybody much more to the superstar, she can only admire him from afar, love him silently. Yes, she has been inlove with her superstar for almost three years now since he helped her find her way to their classroom.
One day, to her surprise after a basketball game which she went to watch naturally, he suddenly announced that he is to propose to someone to be his girlfriend, at that moment, I was flustered and hurt, but who is she anyway. She was about to leave the bench when he called on her name.
Shock was an understatement. Everybody on the gym were all eyes on her with mixed reactions, some hated her instantly, some were wowed, and some were excited. This kind of joke is not funny at all. But to her surprise he came running to where she was and asked her that stupid question,
"Bel can you be with me?" he smiled beautifully and I was instantly overwhelmed by both his scent and smile and said "Yes". Such hopeless dream. Never did I imagine that my nightmare would start from that unimaginable day.
Everything seemed surreal the next days, he went to classes with her, eat with her, study with her, she was the envy of almost all the girls in school. She can't even believe it herself. Days suddenly became months and she was getting used to his presence. Little did she know that she was just a joke.
She went looking for him after a practice game when she overheard a girl's voice talking, she was able to recognize their campus belle's voice Andrea Yin.
"Nic, when are you going to break-up with that goody two-shoes girl? You know that our parents have already talked about our engagement.
Nic responded casually," You know that I have to keep up with the bet".
Who did you bet with? I asked almost everyone but nobody is telling me anything and what's the bet anyway? Andrea asked naggingly.
The bet is to make her fall for me completely in two months" Nic said hastily.
It better be a bet, or else I won't let her off so easily.
It's really just a bet and for fun. You need not be worked-up with all of this. Ill break up with her once I know she's totally hooked with me okay? Nic in a very soft voice.
Bel can't believe what she heard. She suddenly run away with tears streaming down her face, she can't see properly but she kept running. Her chest feels heavy, she can't breathe at all. Everything she felt and all that she thought was a beautiful dream was just a bet and a joke to the one person she has ever loved.
That same day, she went home and asked her parents to transfer her to a different school, they asked her and were very concerned but at the end she said nothing and that she simply wants to have a different environment.
