Disillusioned Force users, mercenary fleets, and alien warlords rally to his cause, seduced by the promise of a third path—neither Republic nor Sith, but something entirely new.

In the Core Worlds, Darth Sidious, still hidden as a senator, sees a threat not in a rival Sith—but in an unpredictable anomaly with foreknowledge of his entire plan.
