Esta es una historia que me imaginé por primera vez cuando estaba en la primaria, pero que nunca me atreví a escribir de forma alguna. Lo que van a leer es mi intento por retomar esa antigua idea y convertirla en una narrativa cuanto menos medianamente interesante y entretenida, a ver qué sale. Todo ocurrió en un mundo que, aparentemente, era igual al nuestro. Hasta que sin aviso fuimos atacados; han pasado décadas desde el inicio de aquel infierno que redujo a la humanidad a convertirse en ratas escarbando entre escombros, actuando bajo el cobijo de la oscuridad cual atávico instinto surgido de lejanísimos antepasados. Ellos ya utilizaron sus armas contra nosotros, tienen formas de aniquilarnos a todos, así que la pregunta queda, ¿por qué no lo han hecho ya? Cuando la vida de un merodeador, un esclavo y una zapadora se crucen con una cápsula del tiempo viviente, comenzará su travesía por las ruinas y los páramos vacíos para descubrir la razón, cayendo en los entresijos del último plan, la última chance de la humanidad para sobrevivir.
