Ghoul Synonym

The Mafia’s Favorite Threat

EXCERPT: “How did you get past the guards and track me to my private residence?” Lucien asked Meret. “A magician never reveals her secrets.” “You’re not a magician. You’re a thief.” “That’s a bit rude.” She raised a brow. “I’m sure there are friendlier synonyms. Like…‘unauthorized relocation specialist’?” “Thief.” he repeated, deadpan. ****************** She stole from him but He doesn’t want the art back… he wants her. ~~ Meret Quinn is a professional thief, known for vanishing without a trace and never leaving behind more than a calling card that nobody has ever managed to trace. She steals high-value artifacts for the thrill, not the money. Trust is a weakness to her and love is a liability she left behind a long time ago. But her latest job puts her on the radar of Lucien Moretti, a mafia billionaire with a taste for control and a reputation for never letting anyone get away with crossing him. He was supposed to make her disappear. Instead, he took something she actually cared about — her dog, Cray Cray. A secret no one was ever supposed to know. Now, if she wants him back, she has to play his game. One house. One lie. One string of impossible missions designed to flush out his enemies. And one condition she never expected: she has to pose as his fiancée until the job is done. She hates every second. He enjoys every minute. But pretending to be wanted by a man like him starts to blur lines — especially when he whispers things in her ear… and means them. Neither of them is used to losing. But obsession doesn’t play fair. CONTENT WARNING: This story is strongly 18+. It delves into dark romance themes such as obsession, control, lust, and manipulation, with morally complex characters navigating dangerous desires. While this is a love story, reader discretion is advised.

Zarziyan - The Price of Ascension

A boy who has forgotten even his own name, hating humanity and its civilization that reeks of lies, is raised by the ruthless yet honest laws of the forest. For him, life is synonymous with survival; his philosophy is pragmatism, his weapon is raw instinct. This one-man kingdom is shaken by an ancient, moon-white tree he discovers in the heart of the forest. The spiritual fruits it offers promise a chance to "ascend," but the boy's nature is not to trust, but to test. This mistrust culminates in him witnessing the creation of a monstrous abomination (Yaoguai) when he experiments on an innocent animal with the pure, uncontrolled life energy (Qi). Forced to consume the fruit himself to defeat the beast, he is driven to the brink of madness, attaining a flawed yet overwhelming power through a Qi Deviation (Qi Zou Ru Mo). Unable to contain this new, wild power, his body pushes him to create his own hell. Without a master or a technique, guided only by pain and the will to survive, he begins a journey of superhuman Body Cultivation (Tixiū). His ultimate goal is not to accept the ancient tree as a gift, but to uproot it like a prize, to possess the very source of his power. The tree's mental assaults on him reveal fragmented memories of a manor in flames and a sorrowful lullaby, hinting that a personal tragedy lies at the root of his hatred for humanity. His journey takes him to the fringes of civilization, to the Thunderclap Peaks. Here, he chooses the Path of the Rock to tame his power and, in the process, makes his first contact with established Cultivator Sects who become aware of his existence. This encounter transforms him from a mere beast into a strategist who uses pawns for his own gain. "Zarziyan: The Price of Ascension" is not just a story of empowerment, but a saga of a lonely soul searching for his identity, confronting the ghosts of his past, and in the process, transforming from a monster to a king, and perhaps even to a god. It is the tale of a conqueror forging his own path with blood and steel in a world beyond good and evil, where absolute will and power are the only law.

Prince Visual

What happens when an idol, renowned as "Prince Visual," is thrust into a marriage with the actual Prince of his country? **Disclaimer:** All establishments, terms, events, and characters featured in this story are entirely fictitious and crafted solely for the sake of entertainment. The story may contain sensitive topics. Royalty is often perceived as synonymous with perfection; however, the facade shatters behind closed doors. The Royal Family Wang, hailed as one of the most unproblematic influential families in the world, maintains its prestige primarily through curated features and polished articles. In truth, their legacy harbors secrets and bitter feuds—once revealed, could incinerate their esteemed reputation. Present at the center is King Wang Jae-Hwan, who, in a bid to secure his lineage’s claim to the throne, chose to marry into an influential Noble family. Beneath the polished exterior, however, lay deep-seated secrets. Although he professed love for his wife, loyalty was a luxury he couldn't afford; he betrayed her on their wedding night, resulting in the birth of a son. Wang Jae-Yul, unaware of his royal heritage, led a life filled with hardship and isolation. The king eventually discovered Jae-Yul, yet the Queen enforced her control that stifled any ambition or desire for power within Jae-Yul, effectively destroying any inclination to fight for the throne. In contrast, the life of an idol is similarly punctuated by high expectations and relentless pressure. The group LUMINA stands as a testament to perseverance, having been meticulously crafted from the ground up by its manager and visionary CEO, Han Eui-Jun. While the competitive landscape in the entertainment industry usually swallows its participants whole, LUMINA carved out a niche and rose to fame, bolstered primarily by its members' impressive backgrounds. Yet, the group’s most formidable asset was none other than the radiant visual and face of LUMINA, dubbed "Prince Visual," Lee Ha-Neul. His captivating charisma and talent created an undeniable draw, securing LUMINA's place in the industry. But the tale unfolds beyond mere struggles and bittersweet endings, as two individuals, who have devoted everything to the pursuit of success, find themselves entwined in a destiny marked by conflict and unexpected encounters. Jae-Yul's life changed when he lost his mother. She, having lived under the shadow of the Queen, made a solemn vow to protect Jae-Yul from the painful truth of his noble lineage, a choice that plunged them both into hardship and concealment. It was only after her untimely death that she unveiled her secrets, leaving behind a letter that detailed everything. Initially consumed with thoughts of revenge against the royal family, Jae-Yul soon realized that his desire would be futile against such powerful enemies. Jae-Yul began to rebuild his life, and through continuous struggle, he found himself standing before the king to reveal the truth. The king, realizing the Queen's influence, employed sufficient pressure on her until she reluctantly agreed to accept Jae-Yul. However, she imposed a strict condition: no one must know of his existence prior to this revelation. Fast forward 8 years, in an unexpected turn, Jae-Yul entered Ha-Neul's life and proposed to him through his influence. However, once engaged, he neglected Ha-Neul for 4 years, which made Ha-Neul end the engagement publicly. Faced with the reality that he could no longer manipulate Ha-Neul's feelings, Jae-Yul now had to figure out how to win him back. Would he resort to deception or intimidation, emotional manipulation, or find it within himself to genuinely love? The question loomed large: what would it take for Ha-Neul to be persuaded to marry Jae-Yul once again?

Return Of The Supreme Beast Tamer

"Isn't this the weak young master of the Valhalla family?" "Hahaha! I heard he only knows how to waste money... Completely useless." Another voice, dripping with false pity, chimed in. "Both his sister and brother are Tamers, strong ones at that. While him... the eldest... pathetic!!" The final word, spat out like a curse, hung in the air: "Useless!" In this world, where the bond with powerful Beasts dictated one's standing, where strength was synonymous with the ferocity and strength of your companion. Christopher Valhalla was an anomaly. He found solace not in the thrill of battle or the acquisition of monstrous power, but in the simple, fleeting joys of life. He enjoyed partying, clubs, and women. He offered no retort to the cruel rumors that trailed him like a shadow. Because, truth be told, a knot of fear tightened in his stomach at the mere sight of the majestic, often terrifying, creatures that others commanded. But every life, regardless of its perceived worth, eventually finds its end. For Christopher, it came not in the jaws of a wild Beast, nor in a duel he was ill-equipped for, but in the insidious grip of a rare and incurable sickness. Some days later his flame flickered and he died, leaving behind a void filled with the echoes of scorn. Yet, where one life ended, another began. In the silent stillness of Christopher's vacant shell, a new consciousness stirred. A soul, bearing the weight of unmatched power and a reputation that sent shivers down the spines of even the most formidable Tamers, had arrived. This was the Supreme Tamer, a legend whispered in hushed tones across the world, a force of nature who had inexplicably perished at the hands of betrayal. Given this unexpected second chance, the Supreme Tamer, now inhabiting the frail form of Christopher Valhalla, felt a strange sense of acceptance. He looked upon the unfamiliar yet familiar faces of his new family – the concerned worry etched on their features – and a flicker of something akin to kinship sparked within him. A silent vow formed in his mind, hardening into an unbreakable resolve. The rumors that clung to this body like a shroud would be torn away. And the five Master Tamers who had orchestrated his demise in his previous life… They would learn the true meaning of fear. Their betrayal would be answered, not with petty revenge, but with the full, terrifying might of the Supreme Tamer, reborn. The world was about to discover that "useless" could be the most dangerous disguise of all. _______ Author's word, This Books will remain free till it clock 100 Chapters! Spanning over a century, it tells the intertwined stories of six prominent business families: the Adamjee Group, Hashwani Group, Saigol Group, Fateh Group, Kohinoor Maple Leaf Group, and Ittefaq Group. Each of these families played a pivotal role in shaping Pakistan’s economic landscape, their successes symbolizing the nation’s industrial progress and their struggles reflecting its political and social turbulence. Echoes of an Empire is a gripping historical novel that chronicles the rise and fall of Pakistan’s most influential business empires: the Adamjee, Hashwani, Saigol, Fateh, Kohinoor Maple Leaf, and Ittefaq groups. Spanning over a century, the novel weaves together the personal struggles, family conflicts, and ambitious dreams of these business dynasties as they navigate the country’s shifting political and economic landscape. From the Adamjee Group’s pioneering role in the textile and jute industries to the Ittefaq Group’s dominance in steel and their complex ties with politics, the novel captures the highs and lows of entrepreneurial ambition. With political upheavals, nationalization, and internal family rivalries threatening their legacies, these families face immense challenges as they strive to maintain their empires. At its core, Echoes of an Empire is a tale of resilience, sacrifice, and the enduring impact of these industrial giants on Pakistan’s economy. It offers a compelling exploration of ambition, legacy, and the intricate relationship between business and politics, leaving readers to ponder the cost of power and the legacy of those who shaped the nation’s industrial future. --- The Hashwani Group: Building a Hospitality Empire Next, the novel delves into the journey of Sadruddin Hashwani, a dynamic entrepreneur who transformed his modest cotton trading business into a hospitality powerhouse. The Hashwani Group became synonymous with luxury through its Pearl-Continental and Marriott hotel chains, redefining Pakistan’s tourism industry. Withering Cold

In late 1980s, Tokyo, monstrous Eclipses, born from human fear—lurk in the shadows. Hikaru Shimo, a teenage warrior with ice-cold Senzai abilities, fights to protect the innocent, until he accidentally awakens Sora Makizushi, a legendary warrior frozen in time. But Sora’s past is a bloodstained mystery, and his rage threatens to burn the world anew. Hikaru gets saved by Yoru, a bubbly yet ruthless Director. As Hikaru is drafted into the shadowy Peoples’ Protection Agency, he uncovers a war between factions vying to control Senzai energy, some to save humanity, others to reshape it into something entirely borderline horrifying. With a sadistic scientist, a bubbly-yet-ruthless director, and a fanatic rebel faction in the mix, and the curse of his own bloodline, Hikaru stands at crossroads whether to align to one or be the Eclipse-slaying hunter he is. —————————————————— DISCLAIMER: ALL ARTWORK IS OWNED BY ME AS I'VE CREATED IT Withering Cold is primarily a dark fantasy webnovel which inspired by animes/mangas. If you want an overpowered edgy main character with 10 wives and a broken system, then leave. This isn't for you. There will be complex and mature themes (both 16+ & 18+), so if you don't like it (assault, gore, violence, trauma and other not so cool stuff), then don't read it. Author's Note: I originally developed an idea for Withering Cold way back in 2022 once I watched Chainsawman and recently Tokyo Ghoul. So if you're fan of animes of that genre this is for you. Moreover, I wanted to see if I could build a balanced yet unreliable power system. Most animes have a power system that's purely for usage but I wanted to explore how power can corrupt people. Plus, to address the inner demon trope (Hikaru-Tsukuyomi), most animes have them established on the first chapter as a living vessel, but I wanted to see how far could Hikaru last before the person inside him awakens when it's too late. It's a slow burn, probably 200 chapters expected give or take. Might end in Mid-Late 2026. Each chapter spans 2000 words and the publishing frequency is 2 or 3 chapters a week (unless if I make a digital art, all available on my discord). It's my faithful tribute to my favourite shonens/mangas and probably something I spent years building, giving depth to my characters. Don't expect outlandish powescaling. Enjoy the story. For more fun facts about the novel + discussion and more join the official discord server: https://discord.gg/8mgFz7RVFm Maybe this will end up well? Who knows. I simply care about the moment. If I screw up your favourite character, I apologise. —————————————————— MAIN CAST: Hikaru Shimo: The protagonist of Withering Cold. A shy, timid 16 year old boy who has a knack for hunting eclipses in the retro 80s Tokyo. He's a local high school student and works odd jobs to sustain himself until he gets a rather meagre pay in the PPA. However, behind his kind behaviour lies a thousand year old curse that runs in his bloodline. Sora Makizushi: The secondary male lead and the Deuteragonist of Withering Cold. He's boastful, arrogant yet a master in his Senzai Arts. Once freed by Hikaru from his unfortunate sealing, Sora lands himself in 1987 Tokyo where he struggles to get used to the modern environment. The story focuses on how Sora regains his now lost power and the mystery behind the Main Antagonist, Tsukuyomi. Yoru: The female lead and the Triagonist of Withering Cold. A ruthless yet bubbly Director of the PPA who took Hikaru into her own arms. Yoru suffers from Stockholm Syndrome, where she knows the PPA is shady yet believes they are the true defenders of humanity. Her arc revolves around the world building in-universe and Yoru trying to atone for her own sins by being the family Hikaru never had. [more info in auxiliary chapters and discord!]
