When The Stars Don’t Align
Selena Yingyue Zhao, daughter of the late Zhao Bohai, does not want any part of what she thinks her father has planned for her. All her life she had fought for her own legacy, biding her time and following the rules in the hopes that one day she might leave her godforsaken surname behind in favour of the freedom she had been denied.
However, Yingyue quickly learns that taking the reins of a predetermined fate and steering it off course is not as easy as she first thought it to be. With time running out; secrets being unearthed left, right and centre, and every step a possible landmine waiting to blow up what Zhao Yingyue thought would be the beginning of her new life quickly becomes the beginning of a horrific nightmare.
While she wrestles with her new dizzying normal and the huge expectations that had been placed on her shoulders, her previous life, and everything she knew in it, is falling apart right under her feet. It is, of course, no help at all that a certain charming business rival may perhaps be just the one to help her make her mark in the business world and stand on her own two feet. But, with such smooth-talking tendencies, how could that possibly end well in any essence of the word?
