Masquerade Elegant Mask

The Saint Likes Me, But I’m Screwed… [Rewrite]

A/N: I don't do a lot of hand-holding, so you have to figure out the subtle and not-so-subtle stuff. Good luck. One early spring day, Alum and his classmates fell victim to a spatial quake—descending to Lethren—the strongest line of defense. The students gained magical abilities—not to be heroes, but just because it was expected. Even with the supernatural, Alum seemed aloof but more mellow—his world hadn’t changed, but the same couldn’t be said for those around him. However… that changed—he fell in love with a Saint at first sight. Saint Amethely, despite being new to the role, is loved by everyone. She is sweet, caring, and elegant but has to carry the grand legacy of her Grandmother, the previous Saint. Despite that, she was still a shy girl, slightly clumsy, with no romance experience. But only a few knew of her awkward side. So how could he make an elegant Imperial Saint fall for him…? He, who in this world was but a nobody? There were a few options—become recognizable. Except… the shy girl Amethely had already fallen in love at first sight—Alum being the culprit. An aloof youth whose world changed and an elegant Imperial Saint, how would their love blossom? But… change was never easy for someone like him. Whichever world—his was never kind. Even in this beautiful and vibrant world—incredible magic beasts and abominations were cruel and unyielding. Schedule: weekend or either Mon/Wed

The Fools Masquerade

In a quiet, forgotten corner of the world stands a peculiar house—a circus-like mansion called the "Fool’s Masquerade", run by a single enigmatic figure known only as The Fool. The Fool is an entertainer who dons a jester’s mask and opens his doors to anyone who seeks shelter, solace, or even just a fleeting escape from their troubles. Each guest who enters the Fool’s house brings their own story—some joyful, others tragic. They stay for a time, entertained by the Fool’s dazzling performances and absurd tricks that seem to read their very souls. But eventually, they all leave. The Fool never asks why. He simply smiles, bows, and holds the door open for them. Though the circus thrives with laughter and life, it is a lonely existence for the Fool. He built the house not just as a sanctuary for others, but to hide his own pain. Each act, each trick, is a way to distract himself from the emptiness left behind by those who come and go. Despite his sorrow, the Fool doesn’t close the door. “The door is always open,” he says, because he believes people’s decisions to leave are their own. It’s their life to live, and his role is simply to give them a moment of joy before they move on. But what happens when someone decides to stay? One day, a traveler stumbles into the Fool’s Masquerade—a quiet, stoic figure who doesn’t laugh at the Fool’s jokes or marvel at his tricks. Instead, they stay. They linger in the audience long after the performance ends, asking questions no one has asked before: “Why do you do this?” “Don’t you ever want someone to stay?” “Who takes care of you?” As the Fool grapples with these questions, he begins to unravel the truth about his own existence and why he chose to live this way. The circus house, once a place of escape for others, becomes a stage for his own self-discovery. Through whimsical performances and heartfelt conversations, *The Fool’s Masquerade* explores themes of loneliness, connection, and the bittersweet beauty of letting go. It’s a story about a man who calls himself a fool but may be the wisest of them all, and the one person who might teach him that it’s okay to let someone stay.

Masks and Deceit

Caspian inched closer until his lips were mere inches away from Davina's, reeling her in to close the nonexistent gap between their mouths. "Have you ever been kissed, Dimitri?" He asked. Before Davina could lose control after Caspian's cold lips lightly grazed hers, she pushed him away and hurriedly stood up. "My Lord, this is highly unethical!" Her real voice nearly slipped out amid the chaos. "What's unethical about this?" Caspian's face lifted to form an innocent yet devilish smile, he seemed to be enjoying the reaction he got out of her. Flustered, Davina turned her back to him and took deep breaths before speaking more composedly. "We are both men and it wasn't ethical of you to try and... kiss me." The last bit came out as a whisper blown away by the wind. Caspian's chuckle echoed through the woods as he stood up from the bench and faced Davina with a smug look on his face. "Tell me, Dimitri, was I really trying to kiss a man just now?" "W-what do you mean?" Davina stumbled backward as she stared at Caspian in shock and disbelief, unsure of what to do to save herself from that situation. "Let me rephrase my question." Caspian delicately grazed Davina's cheeks with the back of his hand. "Are you really a man?" ***** With a bounty on her head and the need for a place to stay, Davina snuck into the castle of Lendorr, posing as a man in the royal army. Luckily for her, she was able to get away with her ruse easily that is, until she met the mysterious Lord Caspian. She is tasked with being one of his guards all while trying to avoid getting caught by the man who made it his life's mission to ruin her plan. Through a twisted game of deceit, Davina is forced to make a grave choice between Love and the REAL reason why she snuck into the castle.
