Sarah, a resilient young orphan, works tirelessly to pay for her younger brother’s life-saving treatment. When Mrs. Mara, a wealthy and calculating woman, offers to cover the bills in exchange for Sarah pretending to be her stepson’s girlfriend, Sarah reluctantly agrees, unaware of the deadly game she’s stepped into.
Victor, haunted by the recent loss of his parents, lives shut off from the world, angry and emotionally guarded. Sarah enters his life under false pretenses but soon discovers a deeper side of him, a man who is broken, but not beyond healing.
