After being rejected by his own family and everyone he’s come across because of his lack of being strong, he runs into Ember. A nice woman the same age as him, and things are going good, in which he’s persuaded she doesn’t have magic either. After a few dates and traveling together, Kaede finds out that Ember is the Demon Queen of Hell, and she was looking for a companion whom she could fall in love with, a companion to stand toe to toe with her, and the stronger their love and bond becomes, the more powerful they become. With Kaede being super confused, just one kiss from her grants him immeasurable power. With Kaede always yearning for power, he uses it to take down enemies that threaten the world of Kirvana and the demon queen as well, but even though he gets blinded by love a lot, he gets to thinking.. “Am I helping her take over our world?”

At first glance, Shu and Kaede Makahoushi appear to be your usual pair of siblings, but there’s much more to them than meets the eye. They possess an ability that is rare to find nowadays in their side of the world: the ability to use magic. To top it off, they are members of the SR, an organization that focuses on combating criminal activities with the use of mages. They’ve always had their hands busy due to these 2 reasons, but that’s all about to change. After failing a mission given to them by their grandfather, the SR’s leader, they received a mysterious letter inviting the both of them to enroll into 1 of the 7 Magic Academies, 7 very special institutes as they are the only ones in the world that teach and help magicians use and perfect their magic. Soon after, they end up enrolling into Crimson Rose Magic Academy, the highest ranked of these seven schools. But, after enrolling, they slowly start to realize that these schools are more than meets the eye...
