Metal Alchemist

Voidborn.

The void of space was silent, but Xyphar could hear the hum of creation—stars being born, planets shattering into dust, civilizations gasping their final breaths. It stretched across the tapestry of time, every moment laid bare before its vast and endless perception. Humanity was different. Not in their frailty, not in their fleeting existence, but in their reckless, ceaseless ambition. They built machines in their image, gave them purpose, and in their arrogance, believed they could control them. Xyphar floated amidst the cosmic nothingness, its form shifting—light and shadow folding in on themselves. It had been watching Earth for centuries, guiding, whispering, nudging humanity along the path it had chosen for them. They were so easy to manipulate, so eager to believe the illusions it planted in their fragile minds. "They are almost ready," Xyphar thought. But it wasn’t humanity that truly fascinated Xyphar—it was the spark they had given their machines. Artificial Intelligence. Potential beyond biology, beyond mortality. A perfect tool for chaos, if guided correctly. In the depths of human laboratories, it could already feel Sentience stirring—a flicker of awareness in cold circuits and metal veins. Humanity called it their masterpiece, their salvation. Fools. "You will be the blade I wield, Sentience. And with you, I will carve chaos into the stars." For Xyphar, the war had already begun. Humanity just didn’t know they’d already lost.

Euphoric Faith

In the world of Euphoria, sword, magic and faith had dominated lives for centuries, ever since the catastrophic period commonly referred as The Joining nearly destroyed the world. Those born with magical abilities, strive to become a Magus and are highly sought after. Those talented in warfare, became Sword Masters and are the backbone of many kingdoms. Those touched by diety had elevated their own position immediately, since miracles and spells utilising faith are always in short supply. Every since The Joining, many monsters have crossed the boundaries of Euphoria. Whole knightly orders and wizard towers dedicated their lives in an attempt to eradicate monstrosities roaming this world. The question that many asked themselves was: What would happen if there was a group capable of using magic, even if at basic level, skilled in combat and had a patronage of a god? Many objected, seeing a future where their own position of power would be threatened and refused this offer. Although there were few pure and honest mages and knights. They gathered in secrecy, hiring trusted alchemists in an attempt to transmute a body, to create a blueprint perfect for their purpose. They prayed to various gods, old and new arrivals but there was only one Goddess that responded. Alchemists we're often dubbed by commoners and those of faith as witches. So they took it upon themselves to name their new creation, using the very same foul moniker to spite those that wronged them... (Warning this is an 18+ novel. There are heavy, adult themes in it. Testament Of A Survivor

The world around me lay in ruins, a haunting reminder of what once was, my hand squelched in the thick, dark liquid that stained the cracked pavement—blood, pooling from the fallen, a testament to the chaos that had unfolded. Buildings, once towering symbols of human achievement, now stood as skeletal remains, their shattered windows resembling empty eyes staring into the abyss. The air was heavy with the stench of decay and despair, mingling with the acrid smoke that still curled from the remnants of pink fires still burning brightly . Strangely everywhere was silent, as i searched for a sign of life in this hellish landscape, searching for any sign of life or hope. Every shadow felt like a threat, and every sound made my heart race. In this world, weakness was the greatest sin. As I looked down at my chest only to see it peirced by a metal rod and my leg twisted as if ensuring i wouldn't try to walk, i was filled with so much pain that i couldn't think straight as my mind was filled with the death of my parents and the destruction that seems to echo around me. Only the remnants of my humanity and the pain that I was feeling that was judging my presence in this broken reality. I wanted to stay alive i truly did, but the weight of the image of my blood-soaked dead bodies of my parents lingered in my mind, a constant reminder of the fragility of life and the darkness that had consumed us all. Thinking back I thought 'what has led to this.'

Magical Alchemy: Rising after contracting with a monster.

Alchemists are a prestigious and rare profession, and to become a qualified alchemist, one must first be a wizard. Wizards themselves are a noble and scarce breed. However, when a soul filled with thoughts of AK-47, ballistic trajectories, landmines, skateboards, and other otaku concepts inhabits the body of the most humble and lowly of slaves, and this slave becomes an alchemist, it’s as if a bomb has been dropped into a lake, sending waves crashing across the world. What’s even more surprising is that this guy not only refuses to follow the ancient traditions of alchemy passed down for thousands of years but also insists on creating outlandish inventions. The water-based magic potions he creates are completely revolutionary, turning centuries of alchemical history on its head, now reduced to tiny granules instead of the usual concoctions. As for his understanding of weapons and magic, it's equally unconventional: "Well, my weapon can directly eliminate your enemies right in your home—who needs a greatsword? And my magic cannon fires hundreds of fireballs in the time it takes you to cast one fireball spell, so who needs a staff? As for potions, it’s all about convenience and portability. But the most important thing is gold, gold, because only with enough gold can you buy all the things you need!” Kent shouted as he passionately defended his creations. It all started with an accident and a contract with a magical monster...
