Bladesworn: The Exiled Heir
Every year, the Realm-Heart selected a cohort of prodigies from the esteemed families and cast them into an unknown plane—an ancient tradition devised to test the power, intellect, and resolve of the next generation. To triumph was to return wreathed in honor and prestige; to fail meant to perish, leaving behind only disgrace and the taint of failure upon one’s lineage.
Among the most esteemed families, there once existed a prestigious lineage of blade masters—warriors whose power struck both awe and fear into the hearts of their peers. Their strength, coupled with ideals that clashed against the ruling factions, made them an obvious target. United through a unanimous fear, the other families conspired against them, orchestrating their downfall through a ruthless betrayel. Their legacy soon faded into obscurity, buried under with the rest of the great families' crimes.
Asko was the last remnant of that lost lineage, a descendant of the blade masters whose very name had been erased from the annals of time. Though his abilities lay dormant, the Realm-Heart, perhaps moved by some old memories, unsealed his potential and cast him alongside the prodigies of the realm. It expected great things from him. Asko, however, had something else in mind—debts of blood still unpaid, and the family’s honor left to reclaim.
