Durch den Krieg tauchten mehr Obake, vorallem Yurei auf als zuvor. dies gefährdet mehrere Menschen. durch dieses Phänomen, was auch Obake erwachen gennant wird, wurden Samurai dazu aufgetragen diese zu erledigen. Diese werden auch Reaper genannt, die besondere Fähigkeiten besitzen. die Geschichte spielt sich rund um den Reaper Ginki der viele Geheimnisse mit sich bringt der von seiner Schwester Xenilia, oder auch Xeni und von seine Freunde, die er in Laufe der Story kennenlernt und begleitet wird.
