(That's why the name, The Extra's Weight) 2) He can also use one other type of magic, called 'Energy Magic', which is basically null-magic, or non-elemental magic. 3) This novel DOESN'T have a sentient system. Actually, the system very rarely even makes an appearance. 4) NO HAREM. 5) Actual, slow-burn romance. 6) Main Character isn't some emo villain who uses people and avoids social contact. 7) If you don't like things like entire chapters dedicated to grinding materials or rare artefacts and talismans, you won't enjoy this novel. But if you do, you'll love it. 8) There's a lot of info dump in the first few chapters. And there will be more later on. This novel is inspired by 'Novel's Extra' and 'Author's POV'. But keep in mind, the story of this novel is nothing like the two of them.

It all started because of that game. It was an erotic game, really. In it, a massive apocalypse happened, filled with monster girls to the brim. And what do these monster girls want? To suck you up dry, of course! Now, usually in these games, you get sucked up, get a quick session with your pickle, and that's it. But, this game was different. In it, you can choose what to do with the monster after you defeated it. Either you can spare it, or kill it. It was such an interesting concept for me. I decided to go with a neutral route, where I sometimes spare sometimes kill, if you spare you don't get the xp, so it was a bit hard, so I did some killing here and there. I can always replay the game after finishing It, after all. But before I got to the ending, the save file somehow got corrupted. After a couple of moments of lament, I decided to try again, and save multiple times this time, but I decided to try a full-on full mercy run. Keep it between us, or call me a wimp, but I felt a tang of sadness when I killed those monsters. It felt odd, the voice they made, I mean. When they died, I could literally hear the voice in my head despite me not wearing headphones. That's why I decided to do a mercy run. But when I tried to boot up the game, the screen suddenly shone bright, almost blinding me. And now, here I am. What are you thinking when reading light novel or anime? Do you feel happy? Or sad? Or confused? Or have you even think about anything while reading or watching anime? For example, when the FML (female lead) or FMC (female main character) died protecting the MC from monsters or from truck-kun (this ending is common in romance genre anime). I'll give another example. When the female lead 'sacrifice' her body for MC sake when the enemies threatens to kill the MC. Or when the female lead died together with MC in the ending to protect the 'world'. I'll ask you again. What do you felt exactly when the situation above happened in the light novel or anime you're watching? Are you angry? Or you felt sad? Did you feel confused? For me, the MC in this novel. My answer is F**K YES! I felt angry toward the MC because he failed to protect the female lead from dying or getting 'r**e' by the bad guy. I felt sad for the female lead for having a useless, stu**d and weak person as their MC. I'm confused. Why can't the MC became just a little bit wiser, stronger and braver? Maybe he can atleast help female lead avoid their tragic fate? I'm confused. Why is the female lead so stu**d sometime to sacrifice their lives for MC's sake? For world's sake? Just to be remembered? Where's the logic in that? Thus, one day. I decided. In a world like the one we live in is one that could make people go crazy, we are fortunate that there are those willing to put their lives at risk to protect us, after all, could society have ever developed without the soldiers that keep our homes safe? All I know is that not all of them explicitly wish to protect us, neither do I, however, since my dream could only be achieved through this method, I'm willing to risk my life in this job. .......................................................................................................... English isn't my first language and I'm still learning, if you have suggestions and tips on how to improve my writing or any other aspect of this story, please I invite you to tell me how since it's a win-win situation for us. There won't be a Harem in this story and I'll try my best to not make it a wish-fulfillment story, I do not like a Gary Stu main character but as someone who has tried to write a few times, I know very well how easy it is to fall in this damnable type of character if things end up going way too far from what I planned I'll probably erase the chapters where things went wrong and I will rewrite them. And PLEASE, if you do not like my story, at least be gentle enough to explain why instead of cursing me or simply giving my story one star while repeating a few words so that you can publish your review.
