The day I died, it rained softly, like the universe was crying for me. My thoughts drifted to my ex-husband. For a century, he always stood so proudly in front of me, even daring to protect me from tribulation. Back then, I was so naive. I thought it meant he loved me. But then he brought back HER... a fairy who looked exactly like me. That’s when I realized how foolish I’d been.

When I opened my eyes again, I was seven hundred years in the past. Lucian was just a young boy back then, not yet the Demon Lord, just a disciple with demon blood, bullied and looked down upon by everyone. I knew right then and there, I wasn’t going to be fooled again.
So when he grabbed the corner of my clothes, I didn’t hesitate. I crushed his fingers, but he refused to let go. That was the moment I knew - I was done loving him.
The storms came and went, but no matter how broken and pitiful Lucian became, I held onto the memory of the day I faced the tribulation. I kept telling myself: Never again will I pity him.
He tried, over and over, breaking himself for me, but nothing could bring back the softness in my eyes. That part of me, the part that once cared, was gone. It died with the rain on the day I left this world.
