Kevin Thompson wasn’t anyone special. Just a regular 19-year-old American guy, obsessed with novels—light novels, fantasy, cultivation series, even fanfiction. Kevin’s consciousness surged awake, and the familiar cold voice of Sasuke echoed in his mind—detached, prideful, and filled with an unwavering need to be strong. Power coursed through him, unfamiliar yet exhilarating. It felt like all of Sasuke’s emotions, motivations, and abilities were poured into his soul—altering him, shaping him from within.
When Kevin's eyes opened again, he found himself in a new world. Kuoh Town. The setting wasn’t unfamiliar. As an avid reader, he recognized it instantly—High School DxD, the anime and light novel series where devils, angels, and fallen angels ran rampant. And this was the world where the protagonist, Issei Hyoudou, would soon become the servant of Rias Gremory, the crimson-haired devil princess.
But Kevin wouldn’t let things play out like that. No, not with the system in his hand. The Sasuke template stirred within him—driving him forward. He would seize this world for himself, take what he wanted, and refuse to bend to anyone. The idea of serving under someone grated against his new nature. He didn’t care about following the original plot. This was his life now, and he would live it as he saw fit.
Kuoh Academy became his starting point—a place where devils, fallen angels, and humans mingled, each with their hidden agendas. Kevin’s cold demeanor and sharp instincts—thanks to Sasuke’s influence—allowed him to navigate the complexities of the school with ease. He felt no need for friends, and yet... his presence attracted attention. Too much attention.
One day, as he sat under a cherry blossom tree on campus, lost in thought, a girl with long black hair sat nearby. Akeno Himejima, the alluring Queen of Rias Gremory’s peerage, gave him a curious look. “You’re different from the others,” she murmured, a sly smile playing on her lips.
Kevin didn’t respond, merely staring at the horizon with Sasuke’s familiar stoic gaze. He didn’t need to explain himself to anyone. He had plans of his own—and they didn’t involve playing the part of anyone’s pawn.
But what Kevin didn’t know was that Akeno could hear his thoughts. Not just her—Rias, Koneko, and every other major heroine in this world could, too. It wasn’t clear why, but for some strange reason, Kevin’s innermost feelings and monologues were laid bare to them like an open book.
"Hmph. I don’t need anyone’s help. I’ll make this world mine—one way or another." Kevin’s thoughts echoed in his mind. And though he didn’t notice it, Akeno’s smile deepened, her cheeks faintly reddening. She stood up gracefully, brushing her hair behind her ear.
“Interesting…” she whispered to herself as she walked away, her heart fluttering. This boy was dangerous. And she liked it.
Thus began Kevin’s new life in the world of High School DxD. Armed with Sasuke’s abilities, a growing ambition, and an unintentional charm that captivated the heroines around him, Kevin would forge his own path—slowly, steadily, and with many unexpected romances along the way.
