She knew her mum would never approve of her writing story's about mythical creatures because of how much her mum hated anything to do with magic Katarina always thought her mother had a bad incident with a clown or something when she was younger. But she was very much wrong. Her mother, her siblings, and herself are full-blooded "Mythical Creatures" only her mother never got her powers. And her mother doesn't know about Katarina's siblings powers and thinks they don't have powers. Unfortunately for Katarina her mother found out about her powers when Katarina was a baby. And because of Katarina having powers her mother always treats her with disgust and disrespect. Not only has she made sure Katarina hasn't found out about her power.
