Amarantha Acotar

"Pinanganak upang maging reyna. Nakatadhana para maging isang mandirigma." Ang inakala niyang isang gawang pantasya lamang na kwento tungkol sa sinaunang panahon ay siya rin palang mundo na makakagisnan niya. Nagsimula bilang isang alamat, isang babae mula sa kasalukuyan ang babago ng tadhana ng itinakdang maging reyna, ang papagitna sa sigalot ng magkalabang emperyo at siyang lilikha ng bagong kasaysayan na magtatak sa kanyang pangalan. "Ako si Amarantha. At ito ang simula ng panibagong alamat."

The focus of Bloom or Doom is on Amarantha, an eighteen year old girl who grew up with an abusive father, but with the help of her friends she was able to escape to college. When Amarantha thought she was finally free and living in her dreams, the ride only just began. Somehow she got engaged with Hades, the god of the underworld and the ruler of the dead; who was tormenting her. Now her first love is in town, handsome as ever and her fear of losing him again was growing everyday, but her fear of losing Jimmy, her boyfriend was just as strong.  In the process of ending all these drama, hell would break loose, sending all demons after Amarantha. Will this eighteen year old be brave enough to defeat them? Or would she lose the battle along with herself and loved ones? 

A polyphonic tragedy: five voices that cannot sing anymore, an epicede in the name of sweetness, a far-from-the-chronotope house, some messed up poetry that capitulates in front of the cruelty of Literature - that must not cover, but rather uncover. All is possible in an overturned universe, in the absurd that Daniel, Desdemona, Amarantha, Toscus and Bios swallow to manipulate the holon, without being able to glimpse the catastrophe, the surge of the logic of non-meaning, of elision. And what is certain is that the archai, the principles must be killed, not weakened; that the most devious violence is the one that hovers over impious-of-hair thighs, trying to normalise what should never be considered normal. There is no traditionalism that can stand against the ravages of time, despot that modifies all of the values without falling into nihilism, into their obliteration: all fathers must die.
